Hey everyone, firstly I'd like to start off by saying I know this isn't bodybuilding.com, so if bodybuilding, powerlifting, and/or general fitness doesn't interest you then please hit the back button and go back to the Anime section. There use to be a pretty big fitness community on Basil back when I would post (My last post on this account was exactly 1 year ago, October 2015). I thought that I would start a thread to see if anyone around is still lifting, hitting their macros, and making sick gains. Feel free to post your stats & goals in a similar format, I'd love to hear what other people's lifts are and what you're trying to achieve.

I'm now 25 years old, I've been lifting for about 6 years now. I consider myself more of a powerlifter than a bodybuilder since my main goal during training is strength rather than muscle growth, however I do supplement my workouts with a lot of hypertrophy as well.

At 185 lb bodyweight my big 3 are:

315 Benchpress
435 Squat
515 Deadlift

This is my current physique:

Now it's your turn! Stay safe & stay strong Basil.

EDIT: (Can a mod please fix the title to say "and" lol)

@carbyken yeah, I actually hate pushing carts. My store (King Soopers, owned by Kroger) got a crappy front end manager the second time I worked there, and he got rid of the "each CC switches off doing carts every hour" thing, so what would happen is:

1) I'd arrive (a couple hours before the big rush)
2) I'd bag for about 10 minutes
3) He'd send me on carts to relieve someone for their break
4) I technically wouldn't need a break for two hours, and then it would be delayed even more because of the rush, so I'd be out there for like 2-3 hours
5) When they finally sent someone to get me, they'd need their lunch/break RIGHT AFTER I did. So after my lunch/break, I had to go straight back out there to get them out, and then there's another two hours I'm stuck there.

Hell, when we started getting short-staffed, they wouldn't even have someone replace me. They'd just send me to lunch, and I'd be screwed because 30 minutes of carts built up during a busy time.
If it was after 8 o'clock, there'd be me and one other courtesy clerk left, so most of the time nobody would go on carts for an hour, because we needed baggers/checkers inside!

And almost every time he did that was when I had to CLOSE, so I also had to clear the carts, including the build-up from the hour that nobody was on them!

It was freaking terrible.
And Colorado summers are hot.
But my crush was there most of the summer, and my other coworkers were awesome too...

@fradddd: Can't even tell you how many times that happened to me as well. You have my sympathy man. My store has like two entrances with carts on both sides, around 8:30-9:00pm we close the second one, so the lot becomes a lot easier to manage. However some people don't get the message, and attempt to bust down the lock! After several "break-ins" the lock itself broke. So now we just use boards on both sides to make sure it doesn't open again.

Sundays are the worst with stream of people coming in to the cashiers. It's also the most hilarious, mostly due to some racing each other to get in closer to the front line. Sometimes they collide with each other, and cause food to fly over. Initially we had to fix that mess, but after so many times our bosses said that's their problem now!

Being alone SUCKS!! What's worse is one of the clerks is lazy! He would barely put much effort in working, and put most of it stacking Wal-mart carts! He keeps his job because he has "disabilities" apparently. Which is BS because health problems don't excuse terrible work effort. I have Acid Reflex problems, but that won't stop me from putting in my work! Doesn't help he's also obnoxiously annoying.

Ah but the best part is when there's like ONE guy (me) working for like... 4-5 hours? Usually it's quiet, but one time it got super busy. Thankfully the managers know the lot is the most important, so they told me to strictly focus on that. To be honest I ain't the best bagger especially not the fastest.

Are only severe problem is getting in store sweeps. It's either we're understaffed, people keep coming in too quickly, or us just being too preoccupied with other things. Usually they just have us clock in one, and just continue doing our usual after the 30 mins is up. But sometimes the store really does need an actual sweep, and we never get the chance till waaay later. One case for me being at 11pm.

A lot of us are chatterboxes (including me), but undeniably we put our work in while having a good time. Sucks when it gets busy, but usually we make it through unscathed!

@carbyken well the thing was I WAS the best bagger, probably since I'd had the most overall experience working there, even thought I had an eight month gap. But they still just put me on carts or put me in a checkstand because they were too stupid/cheap to hire more checkers.

Yeah we get in trouble for talking to each other all the time instead of the customers. But most customers don't seem like they wanna talk. And it can be so fun talking to all the coworkers sometimes! (at my store at least...I got lucky)

@fradddd: That can be said for almost all workplaces, to cheap or lazy to look for genuine good workers.

Funny you mention that, during my chat with the cashier, one customer was like "You! Shut up, and stop talking!" but tells the cashier (who was a girl) to continue like normal though. I laughed and retorted snarkily "Well Excuuuuuusee ME, princess! " She got super angry and threw a wine bottle at me. She missed, and she was arrested right after.

She started yelling, over how I'm misogynist and blah blah blah. Sad to see a 40-50ish year old having such a mindset really. Though this is so far the only time since mostly everyone and most recurring customers know me for being a cynical joker. Our conversations proceed through from one cashier row to another.

@fradddd: Eh to be fair though, stuff like that is a rare occasion. I just happen to be in said scenario when it does happen. Actually I get myself caught in a lot of stupid situations. Probably just a magnet for that mess!
