Hey everyone, firstly I'd like to start off by saying I know this isn't bodybuilding.com, so if bodybuilding, powerlifting, and/or general fitness doesn't interest you then please hit the back button and go back to the Anime section. There use to be a pretty big fitness community on Basil back when I would post (My last post on this account was exactly 1 year ago, October 2015). I thought that I would start a thread to see if anyone around is still lifting, hitting their macros, and making sick gains. Feel free to post your stats & goals in a similar format, I'd love to hear what other people's lifts are and what you're trying to achieve.

I'm now 25 years old, I've been lifting for about 6 years now. I consider myself more of a powerlifter than a bodybuilder since my main goal during training is strength rather than muscle growth, however I do supplement my workouts with a lot of hypertrophy as well.

At 185 lb bodyweight my big 3 are:

315 Benchpress
435 Squat
515 Deadlift

@imaclubyou: Well good thing I do a lot of back then, my arms get some benefit. I only specifically hit arms once a week. But like most of the times my biceps/triceps don't show in a t-shirt but my back will show. Idk. I like back.

Question. Straight bar curl or ez bar or both?

lmao on regret i have is ignoring arms for so long. i still ignore them tbh,. my tricep pretty big because i bench and do weighted dips a lot but most people who have worked out for 2 months have bigger biceps than me. looks funny in a shirt

@upcomingnerd: a caloric deficit is a caloric deficit. the only thing different diets are used for it for personal needs (one person might work better on fats compared to carbs) you also need abs to have abs so train them.

@rixworkwix: Do you count your cals? Got abs? Lately, I feel like I've been losing fat but gaining weight in muscle by 'bulking' cleanR I guess it would be called. I guess my question is, do you need to be on a caloric deficit in order to get visible abs? Or is it possible on a low surplus?

@upcomingnerd: when youre just starting off with working out, yes it is possible to get abs on a surplus. no i do not have abs because of not training for them for years then getting injured then getting surgery blah blah, working on it now.

@upcomingnerd: I'm very active run somewhere between 15 to 30 miles a week. T-T right now since I'm cutting eating like 2800 calories I'm always hungry before bed =[. Stopped lifting heavy because I need to save it for all the cardio they make us do. Only been doing cardio really. Just because I want the long runs to be easier. Most recent heavy lifts are s:315 d:330 for 3 b:225 for 3
