Most likely, you'll get "someone has defeated the boss" on Von Bon and Vellum. Those two are 24 hour resets. Pierre and Crimson Queen (still not fixed yet, though) is a midnight reset.
An easy way to check if you can fight the boss is by creating a party with yourself in it only, and try to go in. If it says something along the lines of "I gotta find at least one poor sap", then you can enter. If it says someone defeated it (you), then you have to keep waiting.
it's 24hours reset, it's best to kick every member individuality and try to enter to see who already did it, then leave party and inv everyone but that one person.
if it says someone didn't do the quest, you gotta remake party
If you d/c and your party finishes the boss you don't get credit for the kill, but you've already "defeated the boss" already for the day.
Only way to fix is just restart quest and wait till tomorrow.
