Help me pick out an outfit?
So I'm visiting my girlfriend in the UK in a few weeks and I'm saving up for a nice outfit when I go to see her
I planned on buying a suit but she recently told me rather explicitly that she dreamed of me showing up in a "fitted navy v-neck sweater, dark jeans with a brown belt and nice shoes"
I've already got the jeans - check
Belt - check
Sweater? No idea. But I've been checking out J. Crew, Lucky Brand, Eddie Bauer, and Brooks brothers.. anyone have any suggestions for this?
As far as shoes go I'm thinking these. I have wide ass feet and am looking to invest in something comfortable so these seem to fit the bill nicely
Also another random question. Anyone know any comfy boxer brief vendors (that sell 'em in red)? I'm getting bored of Calvin Klein ahaha

@Teleport Can you vouch for Clarks? I'm still iffy about buying boots though because I'm going to be walking around London a lot and I have terribly flat feet hahaha
@Irony I usually wear whatever I want (granted she has pretty great taste in clothing.. she buys me things sometimes and I always love what she gets me hahah); this is a special occasion though. I haven't seen her in a few months and I want to set the mood just right if you know what I mean
You're letting your girlfriend tell you what to wear? Seriously? Dump her shallow azz
thanks guys, I'm gonna check out the shtuff you suggested
tbh the shoes you posted from clark's look like they have glued soles which is one of the qualities of crappy shoes. a chukka style shoe (e.g. clark's desert boots) would look better than the pair you posted which has some unattractive detailing. bucks with a brick red sole would also look decent.
there are many places you can get a vneck sweater. for a slimmer frame, you should consider gap, jcrew, uniqlo (if in ny/ca), or h&m. notably, these stores don't have great quality on some of their clothes, but they are good for affordable and occasionally worn clothes.
For shoes maybe something like desert boots, they not entirely formal nor casual.
@Karrie
Well this is awkward. your comment went poof
