Art Contest Are you ready?
Hello community of basil i'm in some need of good/decent artist who would like to participe in a little competition against one another.
Rules:
1. Can be drawn by hand and scanned. It can also done digitally using the computer [more prefered]. No troll-attempts with mspaint please.
2. Deadline is March 1st so don't procrastinate or you'll miss a chance at some lovely Nx if you win.
3. the minimum dimensions should be at least around 1200x1200 px for quality purposes. please save as a png/bmp because jpeg is lossy.
4. if you submit art please pm me if you post it in the thread so i can thank you.

Specifications on the drawing. I want it to be something Bad@ss explosions fighting serious looking, these drawings (the winners) oh there will be grand prize winners + prizes for people who didn't win the grand prize but i still featured your art in my Music Video. Okay so the video is fighting bosses etc hyper fast crazy etc etc thats how i want the drawings to be. the drawing will be of 4 generals 1 the master of my guild. you can draw them individually or as a group [group is prefered but not necessary]
*No nobody has won yet, and yes i've posted something like this in another thread already, so far i've received one submission.
-I do not scam the winners who will be featured in my video will receive the rewards i promise. Its nx but i have yet to decide the amount but it will be a substantial amount enough to make the artist who went through the time and effort to draw my picture. Basically the better the picture the greater the reward.
(ratio depending on the drawing and how much i like it of course 1k-25k nx) If some god draws something that makes my head explode 50k

Seriously though, you are asking for a rather large undertaking in terms of what someone would have to draw, with no real guarantee of a payment, can't you just commission someone on Deviantart to draw it for you?

that is to artists.
to people who want drawings for a contest, that approach is bad. if not most, then all rather have paypal/point paid commissions than give free requests. None of them will take nx as a payment unless they are maplers that don't leach of a pizzaslice.
he can request from them, but i vehemently oppose the idea of asking random d-Aartists to join a maple-forum contest. Not because of the competition lol.
more or less your statement generally applies to how people give/get criticism and the type of attention put onto basil art screens, not the artist themselves.
You can find the nicest care free loving person on d-A but it doesnt mean they'll give you free art,tips sure, unlikely free work.
it's true basilers hate noob artists and amateurs yet they throw all the love in the world and themselves at popular basilartists like u-know/who~11122.

i have some people who are already in the contest (: i would love to get as many people as possible. if you can lay me down a way to get people from DA please i'm more then open to all tips and advice.

Well at least I have tons of time til it ends, so I can set that aside and work on another thing for the time being.
Better not lie about the rewards, or confessabear will be dissapoint.
@Above: It's pretty easy requesting from deviantart. You just comment on their awaiting journals that says 'what should I draw', or 'free requests'.
And commissions are just like the nx reward thing that you're offering out.
You go to a trusted artist and pay them points (You buy those online for the time being via paypal or something), and they'll draw you what you want.
You can also Note(PM) them and see if they'd respond. They're generally nice around some fans that follow them, so find your favorite artist on that site and stalk em around, ask for a drawing, and BAM. You'd probably get your drawing before your deadline.

i don't use deviantart i don't know people etc etc so i wouldn't even know how to start or request that via that site.

as stated the reward depends on the how much i like the drawing. or how good it is. it can be from 1k nx to 25k nx it just all depends. show me your work.

? Its a contest you're not *wasting time if you put your heart and soul into your drawing. if you don't win but i feel as though you did put a great amount of effort into your submission i might just give a little reward for trying.
