For Sony's sake, hopefully they've learnt from their launch of the Vita.

@Eruption: I wouldn't count on either of those things, especially the <$300 price tag.
There was nothing wrong with the vita, its price was fair the 'same' as the 3ds for the non-3g model when it came out (hah-hah proprietary storage) and a decent launch lineup. Problem was that consumers didn't/still don't want it though. People just want their casual gimmicky stuff for handhelds. Although I'm picking up a 3ds later this year for pokemon sadly, I'm not much better than other consumers about that. And the new FE looks cool.

PS4 is already below the competition of PC already.
I low specs PC that you can buy at a store has the same specs as a PS4.

I only heard about this possibly happening from friends too late.
So you didn't take the fact that it came out 5-6 years ago as an initial hint?
Too bad the specs will most likely be lagging behind any budget PC build.

ZOMG i just bought gey boy super slim now i gots to buy ps4 ._. Its better be back ward compatible and less then 300 dollars
Supposedly they had some "major" changes in hardware and there is a chance it won't be backwards compatible.
