Do people only care about graphics in video games?
Title. So, I have an Ipad2, trying to get some good games, and it seems on the internet, they only recommend stuff and say "good graphics, looks beautiful." Then when I go play it, it has no story at all. I mean, if I wanted good graphics I could've always went outside. Does anybody feel this way that developers are caring less and less about storyline and caring more about graphics?

>Calls it a sandbox game
>Says it's not really a game
Unfortunately, they do. I get made fun of for every game I play because "those games aren't even in HD."
Eh... To hell with them. I'll stick to playing Metroid, Zelda, and the like because I enjoy them. I couldn't care less what people think about the graphics. I think they look fine. There are instances where graphics do turn me off, such as with Dungeon Fighter Online. I don't know why, but I can't keep my attention on that game too long, due to its appeal (or lack there of).
DFO kinda reminds me of Guilty Gear.
Obviously. And iPad isn't exactly a gaming device.
There has been some great games made for the Ipad. FFI-FFIII, Ghost Trick, Ace Attorney, TWEWY...
game is just really cool
I really don't care all that much about graphics. Heck, some of the best games i've ever played have crappy graphics.
You guys should try playing interactive fiction games like Zork. Even though it has no graphics, it's quite fun to play (hilarious at times)
You mean like visual novels...?

Graphics matter to me but not much. I could enjoy any good game with bad graphics but if the game was remade with better graphics I'd rather play the newer one. =P
Minecraft, that is all.

Yeah, I understand. Like, for the newer zelda games, people bash on them for saying graphics sucks. IMO, especially in spirit tracks, it works well enough and fits the game.
good graphics doesn't mean looking more realistic

it adds to the overall experience you have while playing.
Nope...I still play plenty of older games with 10 year old graphics that I still enjoy. However, graphics enhance a game...especially if the game already has good gameplay and or story.
Not really.
Well, yes obviously I know that a game with horrible graphics won't fly too well. However, I'm talking about the people who place graphics above the story.
Actually...I prefer both.
Playing games with terrible graphics is equally as terrible a experience.
No. They're an important part , though.
