Fixes to the quotHow to stop hackers threadquot

Original thread here : http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/2442032/1#40797192
Hey there Basilers. I just have a small input for this thread. Someone suggested the idea of having a small amount of employees per server ( low paid) let's say around 5+. If a hacker is seen, you simply report them and it will be entered into a log. The employees will track the person, yet be invisible so that the hacker will not run. If the person is not hacking, anyone who reported them will be put on a warning list. If you report 4 people that are not hacking, you get a week ban. Report any two people falsely after that, and you get a one month ban. After that, it's permanent. I know that people could abuse this system, and it has it's flaws, but it is a fantastic idea for Nexon to consider and improve in my opinion.
Just a thought for you guys. Feel free to point out/fix any flaws.
Thanks.

EDIT: to address a huge flaw pointed out about the hackers being gone by the time the employee got to the location
The employees would have the ability to instantly teleport to the hackers location. The employee would also be invisible. When you are reporting a hacker, you would be forced to list whether the hacker seems AFK or active. The employees could check on the AFKers quickly, and possibly wait to check on the active hackers.

Flaw: what if you report someone, but by the time someone checks it out, the person is no longer hacking. Thats one strike closer to a ban...

If nexon would take reports seriously then they wouldn't have to pay anyone. if i'm training and i see a hacker popping in and out of channels i report them but it doesn't matter. they are always back the next day. hackers are just a part of the game that we will always have to deal with </3
Hack detection is nearly impossible on a programming level; its kinda like flu shots, you have to regularly update and change because hacks regularly update and change.
That's like saying anti-viruses should just stop trying to update, because new viruses come out, and they regularly update and change.
Detection of malicious code will always be one step behind the malicious code itself, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't keep trying to patch the security holes. That's like saying "Hey I know there's flaws in this program - and you probably used it before. Use it again, I'm too lazy to fix it."

That would require Nexon to wake up, log on, and actually work.

For those who don't get it: Nexon uploaded a picture of one of their workers sleeping in front of a computer without even logging in first.

They have people looking at reports now... It's not like they aren't trying to stop it.

I think your idea is pretty good though.
