@MagicFrappe: changeing from day to night doent take much buy if u wanted like el nath to be snowing all then time it wont take alot eather cuz its pre programed

You don't need to have weather with different times of the day... And I don't think if a map had a small animation at a certain point of the day, changing from daytime to nighttime, it would use [i]that[/i] much RAM would it?
I don't know, I'm not too tech savvy so I may be completely wrong. ._.

Sounds cool, but then it would just be another reason for us to take weather damage. Or maybe I've played too much Pokemon.
I like the idea about a day and night cycle.
