@jeff12 Ah sorry, I guess I should have explained that part. If you have another character that learned the Alchemist profession then it has the ability to fuse two of the same item together. It has to be exactly the same though, or it won't work. Like if you have red pirate pants and red pirate pants, you can fuse them together, but if you have red pirate pants and green pirate pants, then it won't let you fuse those. It has to be the same including the color.

Anyway, when you fuse the two items, it puts your characters name on it, like with crafting, it resets the stats back to clean stats (including the slots), and it has a chance of becoming hidden potential.

If neither item has potential then the chance of the fused item having potential is really low like 10-20%.
If only one has potential then the fused item has maybe a 40-50% chance of having hidden potential.
If both items have potential then the fused item has a really high chance of having hidden potential, maybe 90%. (don't use these %'s as fact I'm just giving guesstimates on the chance)

So when I talked about fusing the earrings I was basically resetting the potential. What kind of potential comes out is random though. I have fused two epic earrings before and the new earring came out rare, so it doesn't keep the old potential ranks. I hope that made sense.

Best I got was a 9% str 2L unique pendant.

It's all luck. Let me give you an idea here. I used to craft half earrings in bulk when they were worth a bit more.
