On the sleepyywood guide Raiden posted (thank you very much btw) it says that you max everything except DU, and then later on in 3rd job, you max it out, leaving shockwave untouched.

Thank you very much. Is Oak Barrel a very important, MUST NEED skill? I'm sure its too late for me to go back and leave DU at 1...

I'm currently lvl 50 with 14 knuckle mastery, 19 Booster, 0 back spin, 19 double uppercut, 9 corkscrew, 0 oak, 0 critical, and 0 hp boost.
