You guys are awesome. reading these tips has helped me out a lot. I am now 135 with almost 30k range. To make money i have low level funding mules of some sort. whenever i make a new character that deadly warning pops up on my screen, i kill the knight and i always get epic potential scrolls and clean slate scrolls.

well, the title specifies "newb in distress" so i didn't really suggest high level mob. Chrono familiar also benefits your party members, but is around ~lvl 110 ish i believe
I suppose, it's more of a long-term goal and I overestimate how easy leveling can be now. Mr. Alli(130) are also nice for their self HP/MP heal, and the map isn't that bad for Buccaneer to rotate on since jump-casting Buccaneer Blast when Charged can hit multiple platforms.

The others are probably a lot better if you just want the Familiar and less 'fancy' value out of it, though!
I suppose. Mano familiars are pretty good, easy to get, drops frequently (although CC is bothersome). Chorno familiars are amazing but they take some times to drop
Meanwhile, Mutant Snail Familiars just make your party love you even if they lack those familiars. Took me forever to get two of them, though... it's probably how I spent most of my 2x events(Minus hunting Mutant Ribbon Pigs). An Aran character card, if you happen to have one, can temporarily be swapped into a deck as well in order to ease HP potion costs; it's not as effective as familiars, but it certainly gets the job done and, depending on the health pool you have and damage you're taking, completely negate HP potions as a whole.

Thanks for the tip though, looks like I've got two new familiars to hunt for as a poor collector.
nobody needs mp pot if you have jr. boogie familiars. only takes about a minute to get full 3 familiar cards. If you are too lazy to get that then i guess you do have to waste meso on mana pots
"Life changing tip" you say? Quit this broken P2W game.

Try getting at least the few important link skills unfortunately thats a P2W thing now. You'll need money to buy more character slots.
Do alchemy to make some stat boosting potions. Farm recipes like from bosses(zak, ht, or mobs even)
Assuming you cant buy an Angelic Blessing Ring, you can farm the recipe at Death Master Teddies. Tho it will take some time to farm it. It helped me when I was underfunded and low damage.

@FlyChopin: We have a passive skill that regenerates our mp at 2nd job.
I personally think it's very cool because even if you start anew (server or just new to the game with nothing), the regeneration can quickly regenerate the mp you lose.
This and combine it with the kaio ken skill attacks that don't use mp for a bit on certain attacks.

from my experience, jr. boogie at all 3 familiar cards activated last about 3~4 runs of DIPQ. it would probably last about 3~4 runs of R&J too. So changing channel to refresh familiar hp shouldn't be much of a problem. However, i suppose i didn't consider some classes have small mp pools. Thanks for the input
I think DIPQ tends to be shorter; I'm not certain, but I believe that familiars will lose vitality faster as they attack(Don't quote me on this, it could be me not observing properly). DIPQ involves a significant amount more movement than R&J, so I imagine they'd last longer there, due to less attacks from your familiar. Perhaps I'm wrong, I don't think I tend to use Jr. Boogie familiars much on my mules because with S Rank Character Card decks and a stack of 100 Sunset or Morning Dews I can easily get any mule from 1~120 and my Buccaneer hasn't really used one, even when it was somewhat useful do before Perseverance(MP Recovery, mmm...).

But yeah, as you said, if anyone isn't lazy(Unlike me!) and wants to severely cut their MP costs(Even for classes that it doesn't completely cover), Jr. Boogies are a cheap, easy and relatively decent way to do so.

Some classes(Mages in later levels who have Magic Guard and classes with rapid mana guzzling attacks who have poor mana pools, such as Bishops and Phantoms respectively) aren't covered by a Jr. Boogie familiar, and in some cases you don't have the opportunity to refresh them(Mainly when doing stuff like R&J or DIPQ in a group, where you don't have the liberty to change channels to recharge at will). Eventually that can change as your MP pool is bigger, but yes, it covers most classes; then again, so does using the numerous Power Elixirs or Elixirs that drop from bosses in drove(Even using them for HP needs can sustain the MP for most classes), which is also fairly easy to do.
At least buccs don't need mp pots after 2nd job. The money just goes to my hp pots.
I would suggest going for perm gear from events and farming potions from easy zak Daily.
I would give you some gear but alas I am not on broa. Go with the first commenter said. His power level is over 100
Not really a tip on increasing range per se, but I'd highly recommend getting a perm pet with auto hp. Even if its the only money you ever spend on the game, as a buccaneer you need autopot or you won't have fun as you'll always be watching your hp bar.

Events are your friend. We just finish a great one today (treasure hunter). Keep an eye out in the future for events with shops or other item rewards you can use or sell and you'll be at your target range in no time. I reached 300k clean on my bucc without spending a dime on the game pretty much just from events and to 500k clean just by doing gollux.

Since you're in broa feel free to bl me and I'll answer your questions if I can/help you get started with some pots and some emp if I have any around.

Good luck and enjoy your bucc I still love mine even though I main a shade these days

Buccs do tend to have a low range at low levels. Tough on grinding too. Best luck!

Do Monster Park Extreme for some basic gear, you can also solo Zakum(Normal preferably, but if you have trouble do Easy; you can also get some Boss Set drops that aren't bad) for potions that you can use or NPC. R&J is still good for leveling, especially with a Bishop or Kanna; do the Silent Crusade quests so you can trade in Crusader Coins for Spell Traces, which you can use to scroll your gear for free, since they drop from almost every boss in some degree. Start doing the quests for a Golden Explorer Emblem, or whatever it's called, since that can also help your range; once you can get a Ghost Ship Explorer Badge as well for the same reason.

Once you get to 140 do DIPQ for the Utgard set, use Spell Traces on it, try to find a Knuckle with decent potential if you can afford the reveals before doing so. Do the Gollux prequests after and start farming Gollux daily, do Easy to start with(If you can't you can still get one coin from each part, so you can farm up to 9 coins per day in the worse case scenario); either sell the rings for a fair bit(Make sure you check before, the highest level rings can go for at least a billion or two) or use them yourself to increase your range.

Just level up, do the quests to unlock the profitable content(After Gollux you can get started on Commerci if you feel like it, for further profit or self-use) and your range will increase, little by little.
