got hacked and lost everything
I was just hacked and the hacked changed all my account information. I was able to get it back today, but just as I logged on i checked my equips and anything that was tradable was gone... list of things lost
3 lined legendary dragon tail mage sallet 18% int
3 lined unique dragon tail mage robe 9% int
3 lined unique dragon tail mage gloves 12% int
3 lined legendary rising sun pendant 18% int
3 lined legendary horntail pendant 18% int
3 lined unique dragon tail mage shoes 15% int
3 lined legendary half earrings 15% all stats
3 lined unique dragon tail mage cape
submitted a ticket but what should I do for now?
Edit: the things that where taken that where untrable where made tradable with a psok that he must have gifted to me....

Then why isn't everyone being hacked...
I believe if Nexon genuinely believes your account has been hacked, they will give you 100k+ maplepoints or more since you had quite a meso-load of items.

That can only mean someone knew your information OR you let your information get taken. I still don't understand how hackers can get into your account unless they have at least a username to start with. Then again, people keep mentioning these super-hackers who can steal info. from Nexon's databases.
Just a question, do you use the website to log in.

@ukkie46 i submitted a ticket to nexon and they asked me for some info and then I got my account email adress and password reset
@im17 i scan my computer almost weekly though and i dont go on bad sites or anything like that
I don't wanna be a grammar Nazi right now but while waiting for Nexon reponse I would go learn the difference in between ''were'' and ''where''. It might take a little while before they come back at your ticket so...

Still, I see hacking thread every single day on Basilmarket and it seems to me the hackers doesn't always target high-lvls or well-funded people. So I get to wonder how it happens. I can think of 3 possibles reasons:
1- Chiness gold farmer
2- You went onto suspicious website and/or downloaded some unsafe files/programs without checking if those were virus free and that your scan isn't doing it's job propelly. (most likely that option, even when in denial)
3- You added your maple story friend to your twitter or Facebook or gave your email linked to your Maple Story account and they could get enough personal information from you to get into your account or have a friend doing for them.
So much dragon tail items... o.o

@kelvicious my password was long and very hard.... and i was thinking about locking my items the night that i got hacked but i wanted to do some more cubing first....

Edit: @Taichikara i was wearing them on my evan and they where untradable but he must have used psoks to trade them to himself.... but i didnt have any nx on my account when i was hacked so he must have used his own or somthing T.T
you should probs buy some mesos from a site and pick up merching.
You could start fresh in a new world or just make another character and try to get some mesos by simply mining or something like that Sorry for your loss...
