The Legend Of Zelda Hyrule Historia review

Hey all, I got my book a day early and just finished reading it, examining the quality, and looking at the amazing artwork.
Okay, maybe I skimmed a few parts to save time so I could review it asap, but still.
Since this is my first review, I'll just go ahead and put it in a good/bad alternation, so you never get built up to be knocked down too hard.

[header2]The Look of the book![/header2]
The packaging from Amazon was.. well.. good. I noticed a few bends in the hard cover, but nothing too serious. It actually kind of promoted the "ancient" feel of it!
The book weighs well... a bit.. for a book. It's about the size of an official strategy guide, buy weighs a bit more. Honestly, only a super hardcore fan (like myself) would ever walk around with this. The green (basic edition) is a very nice shade of green, and the golden features greatly enhance the look.
Needless to say, it looks great.

[header2]Inside the book- Good![/header2]
The beginning page is one of the "ancient cave prophecy" paintings from Skyward sword, and it looks very good. The beginning of each chapter (or section, rather) has beautiful artwork that even a non Zelda fan can definitely appreciate.
The content and variety is amazing, they even put the concept art with the little notes to describe exactly how they want it to be designed!
There's so much trial and error you can see in the artwork that you'll be happy(for the most part) with the final result, compared with the concepts.
I don't want to give too many spoilers, but there's also a big section for the timeline, where they describe in great detail the role of each game in the series.
Overall, it's great.

[header2]The sort of bad...[/header2]
Really, my only complaint with the book is.. ironically.. the amount of useless content.
Some of it is just so boring that it feels like a chore to read.
I'm not saying that any part is unimportant, it's just down to personal preference.. I may not like 60+ pages on Skyward Sword, but you might.
Which brings me to another point-
Skyward Sword is the main point of most of the book. The first 60+ pages are all Skyward Sword, and it gets pretty annoying. There's also way more content from SS and Ocarina of Time inside the timeline parts that it kind of takes away from the impact of the other titles.
It's pretty much like..[b]"Here's how Skyward Sword effects this!(5 pages)[/b] oh, and here's how The Legend of Zelda, the first ever title effected it..(1 page)"
This is probably due to the amount of content in the games, but I just think they over-hype Skyward Sword WAY too much.
But then again, more Zelda is also a good thing..so I wouldn't want it any other way.

[header2]The Verdict (lolIGN)[/header2]
It's a great read for Zelda fans, but sadly if you're not one well.. It won't really mean anything to you.
I definitely rate it a 10/10 must have for fans, but like.. if not.. what are you doing in this thread?
So, buy it on Amazon for $20 and cherish it forever.
Or if you're not a fan, buy it, read it, and gain respect and love for the series.

End of Review.

If you liked my pathetic review, comment! If you disagree, comment! If you want me to do more reviews, tell me so!

In fact, I planned on reviewing a video game next.. So tell me which out of these you'd like.. if any.

Assassin's Creed 3
Sonic Generations
Fire Emblem Awakening
Super Mario 3D Land
Legend Of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D
Mario Kart 7
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 (demo)
Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition
King Of Fighters XIII
Pokemon Black 2/ White 2

If you don't care for any of these old games, tell me what else you'd like reviewed... not like I have a life.

Thanks for reading!

Oh wow, thanks for all of these comments.
Sadly, there were a few people who actually wanted to see this, so I gotta keep it alive.

Really?
I can review Skyrim if you want.. but that's something everyone has probably played already.

Oh, and Fire Emblem is relatively new, it's only been out 20 days.
