Dec 07 2015 As a result of the recent SDH nerf, I'm sure a lot of people will be turning to Scrapyard for a new place to train. Thought I would demonstrate how to safely use HS or other mules at Deck 1 and Maze 5, the two map's that I consider to be the best for training.

Hope this helps anyone who was struggling

It's not really safe, because since the mobs there are 230 you'll be spawning elite mobs/bosses all the way up to 250, unlike SDH where they stopped spawning at like 190. There's not a single chair in the game that's tall enough to avoid the Modded Megaroid once it becomes an elite mob (well the new chairs might be able to, but then you'll probably get hit by the platform above a lot).

@nitsua2789: There's not really any remote areas of the map. Megaroids spawn on the bottom deck and the top deck.
The spot you used in your video is as remote as it gets, and a Megaroid spawning on the bottom can easily hit there.
The Xenonroids spawn on pretty much any platform, including that one. Sure, elite mobs die pretty fast, but 1 hit can easily 1 shot your mules, considering without any damage reduction, even with max wdef, the Xenonroids (not elite) hit for nearly 7-8k touch, Megaroids hit even harder, etc.

I think Megaroids also have physical resistance as well, so you do half damage.

The other safe spot is next to the portal at the right, and you can easily get 1 shot if debris clusters there (and there typically is a lot of debris falling next to that portal, and 3 40% HP rocks in a row = death, even with auto HP).

+1 @natty2: That rope can still be hit by rocks. In the video thumbnail you can see a rock falling right across it.
@risingrain On the right side of Deck 1 (not quite at the portal but nearby) and on the far left side of Maze 5 (a bit left of where I was) are generally areas that most people concerned with efficient mobbing don't frequently clear out (when soloing). As long as you aren't killing in that area when its time for the emob to spawn then your mule would remain out of the way.

Regardless this is as safe as it gets, whether you consider it safe enough or not is up to you.

As far as kishin space goes, I wouldn't recommend using active kishin (unless you're training with a party) in these maps anyways. Just glitching the map would be more than enough spawn for anyone soloing, and with active kish your chances of dc'ing go up quite a bit. Back when you could use transform pots to use skills while flying I tried to train at Maze 5 with active kish flying off to the left and I was dc'ing every couple of minutes =/
