@GekkeGerrit Nope, not until the patch hits on February 27. They mention Momijigaoka and the Sengoku Era Npc's in the [url=http://maplestory.nexon.net/news/updates/update-highlights/00FkV]Update Highlights[/url]. We will have to wait until they post the full patch notes (probably monday/tuesday of next week) for all of the details though.
are those areas already in Mushroom shrine ?
@GekkeGerrit lol @Razmos Beat me to it, but he explained it better. I'm assuming it will work the same way in GMS, but you never know with Nexon, they like to adjust things. I mean, they already changed things around by giving us Kanna first instead of Hayato.

Momijigaoka, Kanna and Hayato's starting area in mushroom shine. In JMS you had to grind reputation for 3 factions, collect materials and buy a recipe once you have maxed the reputations, and then I think you had to get some materials from the new boss, Mori Ranmaru.
No idea how it is going to work in GMS though, could be completely different.
