So I just read someone's comment in a thread that surprise style boxes are a perm addition to the cs. Is this true?

Nexon removed the weekly new permanent equips in the Cash Shop and decided (kept decision) to throw them into a SURPIRSE box full of useless junk.
It takes a matter of boxes to get the item you want. And hell, some of the items cost LOTS of mesos.
