Why do people care about being popular?
I am not popular but not very unpopular. But even if I was I wouldn't care! I don't know if girls like me and if they did I am too young for a relationship yet. And if somebody makes fun of being unpopular I wouldn't care either because I didn't do anything bad to them. If they physically attacked me I would attack back. Even if I would become unpopular I don't care its not worth it anyways. So people who think they are too fat or ugly and they are unpopular shouldn't matter when you get older you will get friends who actually care about you and they are nice to you no matter how you look or talk.

because popular people tend to have more fun they go to more partys and are more respected and its kinda like being a celeb in their own
but popularty dies with highschool once u get ino college ur pretty much a nobody again

It feels better to know that [b]many[/b] people care about your opinions as opposed to just a few.
to feel better about themselves and having self-worth... or something.

People like to have a sense of control.
Besides, it felt sort of nice having people say "hi" to me all the time in the hallway. But that was in the past.
Anyways, you're right, being popular doesn't matter in later years. When you're 25 and you're looking for work, is your boss going to care whether you were prom queen or king during highschool? No. Will your future husband care if you were the most popular kid in your class? No. Will anyone judge you by how popular you were when you were 16 when you're 30 years old? No way.
In highschool, it may matter to some people. But in the long run, popularity doesn't matter at all.
Watch Mean Girls.
Then you'll understand.
Cause people know you well and know what kind of person you are so u are liked more (unless ur rude )
