Necessary upgrades to make Starcraft II run smoothly?

I just got Starcraft II literally today and it's laggy as hell. I was wondering what I could upgrade to help run the game better.

I forgot how to look at the menu with the actual specs of my computer so unless someone can tell me how, I'll just read the information on the sticker on the side of my computer . (Obviously I'm not a techie or whatever, so bare with me here)

- AMD Athlon II 240 Dual-Core Processor
- 4GB system memory
- 320 GB hard drive
- NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE integrated graphics
- Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

I thought my computer would be pretty good since it's a recent model (..right?), but I'm running the game on literally the lowest setting possible and it's still lagging.

Help please ?
Of course, it will be better. If I'm not mistaken, he may already experience some bottlenecking with have the HD5770 as well. Plus, that will cost him up to $40-$60 more, and he still need to get a new PSU.

Chances are, that computer cost him around $370-$400. Your P4 is a single core but has 2 logical cores due to HT. And he really can't get an i5, as his computer that he already bought is build on the AM3 socket.
lol I never knew my dual core has hyper threading.

a 5750 will run sc2 fine... no need for even a 5770

save yourself a few bucks
Isn't the 6850 like $100 more?
The cost of the HD6850 is like ~$180-$200, while the HD5770 is around $140-$150 (~$120 after MIR).
Wouldn't it be better to upgrade it to the ATI 6850 instead of the 5770? Although it costs a bit more. Btw I'm going to assume your HD is SATA 2 rite? And as for your CPU, man how much did you pay for that? I mean Dual Core are really 4 years ago. Mine's a Dual Core but it's also a Pentium 4 (don't ask me how). get an i5 760 if you're planning for gaming. And yeah like everyone said, that'll cause you to improve your PSU as well.
Money isn't really a problem for me. I'm going to try and follow the game book which recommends 512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX. Would this be a good idea?
As for the Power Supply, do I get this the same way I get the graphics upgrade via CD?
For about $100, you can get an NVIDIA GeForce 9800, which is a very good model. As for PSU, you might want to upgrade to about 650W, to be on the safe side, which should cost around $60. So about $160 total.

Alright, I'll see what I can do. If it seems too risky then I'll just resort to going to the store.

Really appreciate the help guys
Would it be possible to just take all this in to a store and have them install them for me?
Yes, at a price. You could learn it for yourself, if you wanted to. There's numerous tutorials for it posted on YouTube and other legitimate websites accessible via Google search.
I would think so, unless your CPU is also creating some a bottleneck. Should be fine though. Just make sure your computer has a PCI-E slot available. Also, if you are unfamiliar with how to take out your current PSU and install a new one, you may want to seek some assistance. It can be quite a pain if you're not sure what you're doing. :x

The 8800 GTX is not a recent card; you're better off getting a newer, more up to date one. The power supply is not something you can download, it's an actual part of the computer. You're going to need to buy that too.
Well, I'm not really looking for the best card out there. I just want something that will allow most games (specifically SC2) to run smoothly.

@OblivionSoul
Ah, so those are the components. Are those all I'll need?
Which HP Pavillion model? Is it a laptop or a desktop?
Go to Start Menu:

XP: Then go to Run, then type in dxdiag. Click OK. A window will open telling you your computer information. Find the System Model.
Vista/7: Then on Search bar, type dxdiag. Enter. A window will open telling you your computer information. Find the System Model.

If it's a laptop, you should be able to find the model name on the back of the laptop (or at least most laptops will come with that information.)
Windiws 7 Desktop.

As for the specs, there doesn't seem to be anymore information that would be helpful/hasn't already been listed. I guess the problem is just my graphics card.

Pretty sure it's a desktop, as the AMD AII x2 240 is a desktop processor.
What graphics card would you suggest I get?

HP Pavilion? I'm really just looking at a bunch of stickers on this thing, haha.

If you guys could tell me how to look at the actual specs menu for my computer, that'd be great and I'm sure it'd help you guys better understand my computer.

I see. You will need to buy a physical piece of hardware - the graphic card (GPU). You may even need to buy a new power supply (PSU) for it as well depending on what GPU you get. I would suggest buying these online, as they will generally give you much better deals than at BB.

What's the brand and model of the desktop you got? As well as your budget for a new GPU?
Yea, I figured. Can you tell me how I could go about upgrading this? Like, is it downloadable or do I have to go out somewhere to like Best Buy and get a CD or something. I've got no knowledge on these things :s
