We need to ban "omg" or censor it,

That's not very Christian like. If you are going to be offended by minor things, you can't pick and choose.

If you are serious about getting it censored, submit a ticket. Otherwise, just don't say it. If you are going to be offended by one of the most commonly used meaningless phrases in the English language, you might want to stop going out, or at least stick to a Christian-oriented forum.

I'm going to lock this because otherwise, it's going to become a major religious flamefest.
You are right. Next fall, I will be sure to suspend everyone who dresses up like a Native American, Gypsy, etc. Doing so offends a lot of people and it wouldn't be right to cater to some people and not others. Also, please never use the words "retard", "imbecile", "gypped" or any words similar to those.
After my ban, I have been
a) overly paranoid at what I do is bannable or not
b) pinning down things which should be banned but isn't
c) finding things which should be on the banlist yet does not make me a complete hypocrite.

And this is part of c).
I lost count how many people I flamed on Halloween for completely changing its meaning.
I can't wait till Christmas.

I try not to insult people using belittling words, I find backhanding their face a much more satisfying option

Is this a joke thread? Lol "oh my god" hasn't actually had anything to do with god for god knows how long

You may want to go back and read up on Moses and the burning bush dude. He sure as hell didn't call himself "god", the catholic church took the name out of the bible many years ago because of name fanatics like you.

Yay history lesson.

Simply put, just because they offend in different ways, you cannot allow one to happen and not the other.
You are right. Next fall, I will be sure to suspend everyone who dresses up like a Native American, Gypsy, Redneck, Geisha/Samurai, etc. Doing so offends a lot of people and it wouldn't be right to cater to some people and not others. Also, please never use the words "retard", "imbecile", "gypped" or any words similar to those. We should also censor those.

While we are at it, lets censor "stupid", "moron", etc.

Do you see where I am going with this? If we censored EVERYTHING that offended someone, we'd have to shut down the site due to people not being allowed to say anything. I'm not a fan of censoring in general.
You really can't compare a magical fairy man to the emotions of a real, EXISTANT, emotional fellow human being.

If you actually LEARN about black history, you will know why it is so RUDE and REPULSIVE to use that word. Saying the word "god" on the onther hand simply does NOT compare to hurting someone's feelings because of how they look.
Does it matter? It offends me to see people throwing it around as if it was nothing. It's discrimination against my religious beliefs.
Regardless whether or not this said magical fairy man existed or not, his adherents would not want his name thrown around as if it was insignificant.

Simply put, just because they offend in different ways, you cannot allow one to happen and not the other.

There is a difference between a word that has been used oppressively and out of intended offensiveness and a common phrase in society that, unless one is extremely sensitive, has pretty much no meaning other than to express shock and really has nothing to do with God.

Yet when I pop out a word that starts with n and rhymes with trigger, I have the whole world on me.

How about you grow up?

Oh my god isn't offensive at all. At ALL.

"Blastpheming and wrong" - explain to me, in specific words, why saying the word "god" is wrong? OMG I SAID THE WORD GOD HE'S GOING TO SMITE ME. /sarcasm

you are being way too oversensitive, if you don't like it, then learn to ignore it. Or just, you know. Don't go on the internet. Just walk around with your eyes closed and stick your fingers in your ears whilst screaming LALALALALAA I CANT HEAR YOU BLASTPHEME.
