Nexon

General

I got a response from Nexon

I asked Nexon if I could get an e-mail change. Here's my ticket and their response:

Dear Nexon,

Recently, a mistake has occured where the e-mail registered to my Nexon Passport was deleted by accident. I read the FAQ about changing e-mails, however I was hoping you could make an exception.

I've been a faithful customer to Nexon for many years now and I've worked hard on all my characters. I don't want to have to start over again because my account's e-mail has been jeopardized.

I'm very grateful to you for all the fun games you've brought to us, and any information needed to verify that I am the owner of this account I will provide gladly. Thanks for your time.

Your devoted customer,

Sam

Nexon's Response:

I understand that you want to change your account's registered email address.

There is a possibility to change your email, but it is a long and tedious process. If you would like to proceed with an email change, please follow the instructions on our webpage at http://www.nexon.net/support/supportform.aspx?view=email. Please remember that not all fields are required, but you are advised to provide as much information as possible.

After you have filled out the form, please be patient until your form has been reviewed. Further instructions will be provided to you after your form has been processed.

Hope this helps!

Sincerely,

GM Aanythe

I guess with exactly the right amount of sucking up, good grammar, and formality, Nexon will respond to you Discuss your experiences with Nexon's ticket system

Lmao, Nexon responded to me in less than 4 days, but they never actually changed my email for me.
Dude, this is ridiculous. "Account Registration Date"
Who the hell writes down when they created their account?
READ what the e-mail from Nexon says-

"Please remember that not all fields are required, but you are advised to provide as much information as possible."

If you don't remember the Account Registration Date, skip it and go on to the next thing. Doesn't seem like that should be so difficult.
But am I going to give nexon a copy of my birth certificate JUST to get back one of my accounts? I think not.
Then you don't want that account very much, do you..?

They GAVE you a way to recover it, and if YOU choose not to do it, then it's YOUR fault you lose the account. What's so hard about faxing your identification to them..?
>_>' Dumb Nexon. ALLLL for a email change
I see. You'd rather some hacker could claim to be you, get your email changed to their address and hack your Maplestory account.

I don't think it's Nexon who's dumb here.

I got the same thing awhile back. After waiting some months for the email reply, I had to give some things most 13 year olds don't have the power to give.

But let me tell you this sir. If your email is deleted, how will they send you the form?

Dude i sent a ticket about being hacked a year ago. They said they'll look at it and it has been a year. They ended up giving me 10K maplepoints as a thank you for my patience. APPARENTLY, they're making progress.

You don't need to change it if you have an access to the email. Unless you've lost your password or something you should ask for an email change. But because:
Windows Live customer support > Nexon's customer support
I decided to contact Windows live guys to get my lost email back, and after 2 weeks and 3 contact emails I got my password back.

@Reuben2229: Dammit! I used a different last name on my Nexon Passport ID than the one I have on me... Do they always ask for your info, even if you gave them every single piece of info that confirms you own the account?
@Reuben2229: Wtf, how am I supposed to give them that stuff? I mean I do have my US passport, and copies of my birth certificate, etc. but do they want e-mailed copies or something?
If I remember correctly, in the old thread I made about email changes, they ask for you to fax them the birth certificate, id, etc.

I did the same thing 4 years ago... no response, I think the best way to get their attention is to start "I just recently wanted to purchase NX and I got this problem..."

Follow the money...
