Yeah this is how i usually buy stuff online from places i dont completely trust. They have visa/mastercard/amex prepaid gift cards that work exactly like debit cards.

You are actually able to use a pre-paid card depending on the site you're trying to buy from.

Although JonBaz is completely correct, there are certain cons you must know, especially when purchasing on the internet. For example, if you overdraft your debit card, which means you purchase something with your debit card that does not have enough money to purchase it, thus having a negative balance, your bank will penalise heavily. As a result, you have to be a lot more careful with a debit card. A credit card on the other hand, will not charge you these fees since you pay after spending the money. However, if you do not pay in time, interest accumulates and you will be paying quite hefty amounts of interest as a result... In short, choose wisely
You can use either credit or debit. You can't use pre-paid. Debit is when the money is taken directly from your account at the moment of purchase. Credit is when the bank pays for it and then you have to pay them back at the end of the month.
ah thank you so much, didn't want to make an awful mistake and screw myself, thank you so much
