Well, i got the hotday box, and i logged out before i could finish the second part of it. When i came back, i started it again, and got another hotday box instead of the pendant. Either that, or the quest is glitch and doesnt give you the pendant

They are referring to inventory slot expansions. I can just about guarantee that you do not have max.
