Why do people cap their STR at such a low level?

Hi, I am a bowman w/ a base str of 85 at lvl 116. How come people spend billions of mesoes on str equips that don't help their attack when they could just add str and buy equips w/ % DEX?

quoted for being the damn truth

i have 60 base, and almost 130 with all my gear on, and nothing i have is potentialled for STR, or even STR-scrolled. it's not hard to get at least 50 STR from armor with 100m or less, especially with maker and potentials (+STR, %STR sucks).

STR-scrolled armors have always been a bad idea. too rare, expensive, hard to upgrade, and they lower your dmg in the long run

I capped mine at 40 with barely any problems. Right now i have 110 with equips. It's not that hard, however i suppose i could exchange my 14 str cape for a better cape.

It makes them deal a bit more damage. Level 30 Maple Warrior increases their base stats by 15%. So lets say and archer has 100 base dex and gets 1000 dex from his equips. MW would only increase his dex by 15. If he had 1000 base dex and gets 100 dex from his equips MW would increase it by 150. People cap their str low so they can add more ap to dex thus increasing their base.

I only have a base of 70. I don't have special Str equips or anything, and i can equip a dragon shiner bow with no problem?

Why do bowmen need str? Question.

Just use VIP as endgame.
