The God Delusion

I got this book for Christmas today and i've been reading it a lot.

It's amazing and discusses everything with religion, using fair points and logical arguments.

I plead to all people, religious or not, to pick up this book and read through it. It's so insightful and interesting to learn the origins of a lot of these things (such as morality without god/s, points towards a god/s existence and points against) And also discusses a world without religion.

Any theist who wouldn't read this book purely because of the topic it is based on is depriving themselves of valuable information, and blocking out all possible evidence that points against they're beliefs. (These kind of people are the ones who demand proof for the lack of a god, and then block there ears when they hear it).

Douglas Adams: "Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?"

You should give it to the Twilight Fanatics.

But I still think at least have a set of rules. Morality is important whether you have a religion or not.

You'll end up like savages ! -coughLordoftheFliescough-

The book states that morality doesn't come from a God (Obviously, because he doesn't exist). Those without a deity in there lives can be incredibly moral people (myself, for example). Morality is an incredibly important feature among humans, as it impacts our social development.
To be fair, it's really hard for limited human senses to determine whether or not a being that transcends our known dimensions exists by our own limited standards.
"Limited human senses."

That alone is contradictory, first of all if our senses were so limited then what reasoning do you put behind your learning and sensing of that statement? We have been able to adapt greatly and build technology in the aim for understanding the Universe. If our theories and concepts were incorrect, then all the the devices and applications that science has also created shouldn't function, but they do.

We have shown a rapidly increasing understanding of the Universe and how things interact with each other, the more we understand the more ridiculous a deity sounds.

And to comment above, Atheists do not follow Richard Dawkins, he is just a very well educated man who is worth listening to, considering he is a lecturer for Oxford University and has studied biology his entire life. Atheism is to reject the hypotheses of a deity or higher power.

@ lmaonapew:
It is within my nature to try learn as much as i can about the Universe and that has driven me towards a scientific career (Astrophysics is a current interest of mine). I love to question everything and never leave out any details. The God Delusion is aiding my understanding of the origin and psychological factors of religion and how they effect people, which i find interesting. I absolutely hate ignorance, and for someone to be very religious means they have to be ignorant towards many scientific facts and our current understanding of the Universe.

The human race is psychologically evolving, slowing getting rid of illogical feelings of things such as racism, homophobia and sexism. Unfortunately, religion is blocking this pathway of mental evolution and i seek to remove it.
Why would you read that? Why would you bother.
Anyone who has the slightest bit of logic could see that god isn't real. Your move christians.
Christianity is a faith, and it shouldn't matter the slightest bit to you if people want to have faith in Christianity.

If you want to recommend theists to go out and buy the book, at least try not to be so openly biased.

Interesting. I hope the book isn't as biased as your description of it.
