Do I need to make another Db?
So, I know this revamp is coming and all, but the thing I'm worried about are the DBs event items. Are these items only obtainable if I make a new DB? Since my current DB is Lv. 142... Honestly, I don't want to make a new one, but I do want to get these items. So, it's necessary to make a new DB in order to get these or will old DBs get them too?

hmm maybe. for me, it took like 30+ tix to get one from like cc 12 but in cc 1 I got 2 really quickly. I also got a decent lvl 55 dexless claw, which I used for a time on my sin

Miss out on exclusive new db hair/eyes, free books, mask, new katara/dagger and other things.
@ExSaber: well, by the time the event occurs, most of the events are for newly created dual blade, existing dual blade only get the mastery book

The reverse mask isnt easy to get though... friends used 35+ ticks and none....
i got lucky and got it in 5-7....
Don't worry, the same thing is happening to UAs with Advance of the Union part 2. They get some sick ass events for creating new UAs within the event period.
You can get the mastery book, new and old alike, even if you have the skills mastered already.
To get the mask, get a new db and level it to 120 and take 4th job advancement. The mask last 30 days and is untradable. The level 120 mask however, is permanent and tradable through the storage once.
And as for the ring... I think you need to get a new db to level 50 and the ring is tradable through the account once with sharing tag.
I don't need the mask but... I'm not so sure about the ring... I do want to get my critical as high as I could but I don't know which rings I should replace since the stats isn't any better than most of my rings
But I think I will still make a new dual blade for a while, just to read the new storyline and try out the new tutorial.
The items you get from the revamp aren't worth the time...
-The DB ring is pretty good but can't stack with Explorer rings and even then, you'll probably be wearing Evo rings 1,2 and 3 with one space most likely for the legends ring or other.
- The masks... are okay but again like many have stated, they can't be potted nor scrolled so basically it's like the Blood Mask all over again. If you really want a Dual Blade mask, i suggest you try for the Reverse DB mask although chances of obtaining one are quite random.
Lastly, the only thing old DBs can receive are mastery books... at least thats what Max said on his blog.

I just saw the stats of the new event level 120 mask and it gives 4+ everything and 3att, but has no slots, and the gach one has 5 slots and have 2att. So, now I'm finding the event mask quiet weak. Anyway, I was wondering about the mastery books... Do we all DBs get them or do I need to make a new one or can I purchase them in CS?
To clarify the new event level 120 mask does not expire but all of the previous ones do and the new one does not level up nor does it have slots. The Reverse one from kerning gatch however both has slots and levels up like reverse items.

Kerning gachapon, @above and no they do not expire. Its potable, have wa, and level up.
