Problems with my right eye

A couple weeks ago, during the middle of the night, I began to feel a weird sensation in my right eye. It felt as if an eyelash or something got stuck in the back of my eye. At the time, I just brushed the feeling off, thinking it would be gone the next day. However, after getting a night's rest, the feeling was still there! It's now been like this for the past couple weeks, and it's honestly kind of scaring me. Does anyone know what may be causing this problem? Could it maybe have something to do with allergies?

I would go out to seek a doctor for this issue, but due to some complications, I can't go out until next Tuesday.

Please help.

Seriously, go see a doctor. Whatever you have to do to get there, it's important enough to make the effort, whatever it takes. Your vision is too important.
If it's a physical irritation caused by a foreign object it should be removed as soon as possible to avoid physical damage to your cornea or lens.
And if it's an infection you should begin antibiotic treatment as soon as possible to avoid complications.
Blinking stimulates your eyes to generate tears--tears that help your body flush out foreign invaders.

You know she said she had something in her eye for a 2-3 weeks right?

Those are the things that i do when i have something in my eye and i got this information from my doctor and several sites online.
A doctor studies four years about the whole human body.

An optometrist studies four years on the eye.

I'm in optometry school. Want to continue your arguement?
Try blinking a lot and flushing your eye out with water. I don't think its allergies because i would think that it would affect both eyes and wouldn't be as painful. You should of made an appointment with the doctor earlier.
Please don't listen to ANY of his advice.

1) Blinking your eyes would just clear out the fluid in the front of your eye where she clearly said the sensation was in the back of her eye.

2) Lacrimal secretions (tears) are more than enough to resolve anything stuck in the eye mostly after 30 minutes unless you pepper sprayed yourself.

3) Allergies and their symptoms can manifest themselves in one eye first before showing up in the other.

4) See an optometrist, a doctor will just refer you to an opthamologist which costs a heap ton.
@CrayonScribble: I'm not sure it was just some eye drops i found in the house but it help get rid of the pain and swelling.
In that case I think the two events were independant of each another.

Eye drops for inflammation? I don't see how you would have them on you right them at the time unless you get swollen eyelids often.

Most eye drops are for dry eyes which don't help swollen eyelids the slightest.

@CrayonScribble

Could something like this lead to blindness? Because like i've stated in the first post, I can't go out to visit a optometrist/doctor until sometime next week. There hasn't been any changes in my vision yet, if that matters.

I'm a first year optometry student so I really haven't covered diagnostics well, but I believe there could be a complication in your retina due to coagulation of proteins or likewise. I suggest you visit an optometrist.

I had a odd feeling in my eyelid once before, turns out it was a dead fruitfly I killed when it flew into my eye. It was pretty gross having to dig it's corpse out from under my eyelid.

OT: You probably won't get much help on Basil, just wait for what your doctor has to say. Meanwhile, put your bad eye in an eye patch or something, that should ease the pain.
Thank you for the suggestion, i'll give that a try tomorrow.
