Battlemage

How I think the auras and body boost/superbody works

I'm going to try to explain how dark, yellow, and blue auras work from my limited knowledge. I really wanted to do this for a while. If any battle mages in kMS tell me that the information I have is not what it does in kMS, tell me please so I can change it.

First blue. Blue aura at max level 20 it takes off 30% of the damage you take, takes 20% off of that 30%, then distributes it evenly among the other party members. I think if you are alone/don't have a party it just takes the 30% off and nobody gets that damage. The players that take that damage take it like a regular hit and get KB and invincibility frames I think. So let's take an example. A monster does 100 damage to you. the 30% reduction makes you only take 70 damage, and the 20% reduction of that 30 damage takes off 6 damage so each member takes a portion of that 24 damage which would distribute to up to 5 members (1 person taking all 24 and if 5 other members taking 5 damage).
With max advanced blue aura it will still distribute the 30% damage reduction, but now it takes 10% more off of it so it will take 30% off instead of 20% off. You also get resistance to things like seal, blind, seduction, etc, a 60% defence increase (making pallys more godly), and get 20% off of magical attacks. I'll give an example of that. If a monster does 3000 damage to you, it will take 30% off which leaves you to take 2100 damage. Then the 30% reduction off of it makes that 900 damage the other party members make go down to 600 to be distributed evenly (if 2 members he takes all 600, if 5 other members they each take 120 damage).
Body Boost just gives you 10 seconds of complete invincibility.
Yellow Aura increases your movement speed and your weapon attack speed. With regular yellow aura, maxed it gives you 20 speed (a nice boost) and 1 stage increase. So if your weapon is slow 1 attacking speed, it will go to slow 2 attack speed (for those who don't know, inside of a main weapon speed like slower, slow, normal, fast, etc there are sub attacking speeds like slower 1, slower 2, slow 1, slow 2, etc).
With maxed advanced yellow aura you get a speed boost of 35, +1 weapon attack speed, a 20% chance to dodge attacks, and enemies around you will have their speed -30% (wether enemies automatically take the speed decrease with or without you attacking, I do not know).
Body Boost overrides the current effect of your aura besides the -30% speed that advanced yellow gives. It will give you +40 speed for a minute, +2 weapon attack speed, and a 40% chance to dodge enemy attacks.
Dark aura is last. With regular dark aura, you simply do 10% more damage than you usually do. I am pretty sure it stacks with other things like apples.
Advanced dark aura you do 20% more damage, get +30 magic attack, and every second do 100% damage to enemies around you. Like I said it probably stacks with other things.
Body Boost overrides your current % damage boost in your black aura to give you a 40% boost.
I'm pretty sure with body boost after your aura effect wears off it goes back to the aura's regular form.
EDIT 1: Changed Yellow aura to it's right form from a couple people telling me

yeah you guys are correct but i have some doubts about putting sp in defence buffs but not put some sp in attacking for boosting for dpm... but i think you can take points out of booster and put somewhere also but i was told that battlemages will get 5 sp on each level up till you hit 3rd job then it will go to 3 sp till lv 200... again i have some doubts about it but i say it's good point to agrue over something.. i'll support you with ideas and help to get updates on what up to books man.. but it's just a rough revise of what information we getting here.. when battlemages hit the server.. i'll try to help of course. no point to agrue over some builds up...
I'm pretty sure you can max just about everything if you don't put anything into blood drain (since its pretty useless imo) I think you can leave booster at level 16? and put some more into blood drain if you want.

Explanation
First upgrade your attacking skill and get 1 Dark Chain to pull together mobs. Then start with Spell Mastery to boost your attacks. After that, work on maxing out your new attack. Max out booster, or keep it at a time that's fine for you to recast. Max your two new auras, in any order you wish. I recommend yellow because it adds weapon and moving speed. Finish off with maxing Dark Chain for Advanced later on, maxing out Staff Booster (if you left it at a certain amount before), and dumping your last 3 points into Blood Drain since you can't put them anywhere else.
And no, they only get 5SP from the 1st job advancement, after that its 3SP every level and every job advancement.

He fully said that it was effective in the same map like three posts later.

I think it was a glitch that others could have the aura after leaving hte party and moving away from the BaM. It was fixed so that you ahve to be in a certain range of the battle mage to keep the buff active or something.
Not sure if thats right but I remember reading it somewhere.
and @HolyBanish why not use a stronger, slower staff and just get another Battle MAge to buff you with Advanced yellow. Regular blue and Regular Yellow are both pretty meh but both advanced are better.

IF Dark aura works how everyone has explained it to me adding 10% damage and lasting untill you log off, couldnt that be sold as a buff in the fm? I know Id buy it before going on a training spree!
