Security questions for your account
Do you ever read the suggested Security Questions and think "These are so stupid; anyone could figure out the answer." Well, I do. For example;
"What was the name of your first pet?" Let's just ask all of my neighbors and family members, they'll know.
"What elementary school did you attend?" The same one with 500 other kids.
"What is your mother's maiden name?" What about unwed mothers? Your answer would be your last name. Other than that, go google it for five seconds, you'll find it.
They need to come up with better questions, especially when they don't ask for you to submit your own answer. If I were making a website my security questions would be;
"What's your [b]third[/b] favorite color?"
"Pirates verses Ninjas; who would win and why?"
"If you could pick your own last name, what would it be?"
"You're already in the shower and you realize you have no shampoo. What do you do?"
"Sum up your feelings on carnies in three words."
