help! serious registry virus problem

I tired fixing it using anti virus softwares like Avast! free version and even tired MalWareBytes in safe mode. But still the virus still remains.
The problem is one of my process in task manager is infected. Svchost.exe which i heard is common. I know having a number of svchost.exe is okay, but they all run under 3k but the infected svchost.exe starts at 24k and it went up to 200k before. When i delete it, it mutes my volume system unless i restart the computer to bring it back, it changes the window design blue to white old-ish style, and eventally it comes back....
I know its a virus because sometimes i get a red alert detection from avast that they blocked a malware website pop up and the source is from svchost.exe linked with a ip address, most likely the hacker's ip address.
So how im i suppose to fix this problem if anti virus softwares cannot fix registry problems?
I googled it and there is a solution by manually fixing it. Which i understand the steps. But i dont want to risk it because you have to be like an expert.
So if there a way to fixing this at all? Like downloading a free software that deals with these things that works?

please help.. living with this virus for month and its annoying as hell.

edit: is this a soution? please i cant tell

It's hard to tell from that web page exactly what's their deal.

Sometimes a company that produces a commercial product will release a limited, specific use program to cure a specific problem, hoping you'll be so thankful that you'll come back and buy their full product. This may be that kind of thing. Apparently they sell a program called "RegCure", but the download being offered apparently is only to fix the svchost problem. It would probably give you a sales pitch for the full program in addition to fixing the svchost problem. They usually don't require any payment or purchase for the tool to work however.

I've used tools like that in the past and usually they do what they say they'll do. Then I just ignore their ads for whatever it is they're selling.

As far as manually editing the Registry, as long as you're careful and follow instructions EXACTLY, you usually won't run into trouble. To be sure however, it's always best to make a BACKUP of the current registry first.

When you open regedit, before you do anything else, click "File" and then "Export..." That will allow you to save a copy of the current registry that can be reloaded in case you mess anything up while editing the registry.

well... actually buy an anti virus to prevent attacks from viruses like trojans, spyware, malware, and etc. Because even though you go on legit sites, you still can get a trojan EASILY via network.

Buy Norton its only like 20 dollars at best buy for 1 user and i know u cant fix ur problem with a scan so i think u gotta call a compuer guy to do it for u
