Dark Knights vs Grand Battle

It probably comes as no surprise to anyone that Grand Battle is a load of crap that puts a lot of bias towards who has the best gear or what your level is. It's also no surprise that Dark Knights are not the most damaging Warrior-based class in the game. Let's face it--we kinda suck, guys... but the new Grand Battle takes our horrible abilities and makes them even worse so that we can't even stand a chance. This next part is coming from my own perspective; what I've personally witnessed and experienced in the arena.

So, the first thing I notice is that there are "battleground difficulties" ranked as Medium, High and Very High (and possibly beyond). Starting in, I got thrown into a Medium-ranked room... with a bunch of Level 19X~200 players, many of which are other Warrior varieties. So I walk along, hoping that the supposed character balancing of the game comes into effect and help me w--BAM! Aran out of goddamn nowhere; all he had to do was use Final Blow and I was dead. "Okay, bad beginner's luck," I thought. "It can get better from here, right?"
Spawn again, get all my buffs prepared... suddenly, another class bounced up from below and killed me. Three swings, boom, dead. Didn't even have time to soak in what happened.
Spawn, get my buffs ready... Aran uses Combo Tempest and kills me and three other people from half a screen away. Five more seconds of piddling around, and...
...get ready again, and oh, look--a Demon Slayer. Surely, he's not going to... Judgment. Never mind.
Alright, no more screwing around. Let's do this! I'll just spam Dark Impale and... and... why the hell does my only half-decent attacking skill have a 1½-second delay on it? Attack, wait... attack, wait... attack, wait... attack, wait... oh, look, this idling player's HP is down by 25%. Progress! Attack, wait... attack, wai--SUDDENLY, ARAN AND DEMON SLAYER OUT OF NOWHERE! Mashing Ctrl like no one can stop them! Killing four people with their most basic attacks!

Suffice it to say, I spent the next ten minutes just sitting in my BigWig chair and holding down F3 upon spawning anywhere before I finally gave up on letting people killing with basic attacks and hit 'Room Out'... and that was my one and only adventure into the new Grand Battle! It was clearly nothing like every other screenshot and video I've seen of people fighting against other characters their own level, with marginally balanced damage outputs.

Too long? Here's the short version: If you can solo an end-game boss like Pink Bean, you probably have a chance of doing okay in PvP.

And that's my cue to stop whining and boring everyone... now how long before Nexon finally gets this mess the hell out of the game?

EDIT: I like how I labelled this to go into the Warrior-only forums, yet it decided to go to General anyhow. Fan-tuckin'-fastic.

Its not easy being Batman. You either learn to love it or drop out like Robin...
Correction: If you're a Mage you're probably going to excel at pvp.
or a phantom who can steal mage skills!

honestly I think it's really unbalanced. I can usually move up to the highest tear in 5 minutes or less because I can use magic guard to take close to no damage. With it I can usually fight pretty funded people when I only have around a 30k range. only real challenge is other people using magic guard and DR.

i can only do a 15-20 min zak solo (at 195) and i hold up quite well in pvp you get used to what classes you can take and which you can't seems DK's may have been shafted on this one though

Should be gone by December or January.
The attack delay is no different to the one we had in the old PvP.
Don't facetank, use magnet and DI's range to your advantage.
Don't attack classes that have DR unless you know you can take them down.
Play smarter.
The people who are OHKOing should get moved up to the higher tiers.

@Gregorius: I stayed AFK for 3 hours and it didn't rank me down. My deaths were capped.

Try very high.

I think the difficulty system works like in Devil May Cry. If I let myself get killed enough, maybe it'll bump me down to Easy where I'll have a chance.

Okay, I'm kidding... I'd get my ass kicked in 'Easy' mode if they had it, too.

I wouldn't doubt that. Didn't even get a Gallant Emblem out of it.
