30% dodge and often caused me to die a lot. Burned hella pots as a MM.
Since the creation of the skill it was broken, However it is indeed fixed. It has a greenish gold flash and F2 face ala shadow shifter. I can't tell you if it's 30% but it's a decently often effect and VERY welcome for my Marksman.

Just like my BM, I got around 14 or 15k hp, I survive just fine.. You really only need like 10k anyways and with all these link skills and equips helping as well as skills like Illusion Step to help with Dodge Chance, you shouldnt ever need to worry about survivability.

i got 13k hp, and as far as i know marksman's got a high chance of survival due to high avoid and accuracy, and 30% dodge helps alot

180 marksman with 14k hp. there area number of things that help us survive but you have to use them.

Elite puppet is the holy grail of defensive bowman skills. things attack it instead of you, it reduces ALL damage (even 1/1s) by 25% while active.
Illusion step now provides the dodge boost as intended so 30% chance for every hit (even DoTs lol) to do nothing.
Evasion boost ( 3rd job) is an intersting one. It boost a monsters miss rate by 20%, So if your avoid/level gives a monster a 10% chance to miss you it becomes 12% 20% becomes 24% so on.
Dragon's breath! people tend to discard it in 4th job. not only does it rush stuff far away but it benefits from piercing arrows multiplier(every enemy takes 20% more damage than last) making it decently powerful.

at lhc/sh i place puppet where i can hit an enemy but it cant hit me, dragon's breath them to the puppet, then kill.

at bosses i place puppet out of direct damage range (don't stick puppet on top of them it dies too fast) to absorb damage and atract stray mobs. As puppet benefits from your avoid and takes a decent less amount of damage than you it survives quite well. Also dragon's breath hilla/pap/mobile bosses then reduce their IQ by 40 points by sticking puppet behind em.

Also the new spirit link provides +40% hp at all times.

If zakum was working I would show you him missing 9/10 hits as i stand on his body.

Marksmen don't die easily once they have most of their fourth job skills maxed out. Not having drain arrow like bowmasters isn't such a big factor either unless you're in the dojo.

However, the pot usage is pretty high until you get into that stable point in fourth job. It will be comparatively high if you're used to all of those new characters too. I end up buying pots all the time for my archer classes, but I can easily hit 100 with no pots on Luminous, Kaiser, etc.
I'm level 173 with 6k HP, what am I doing wrong.. well I had 9k HP back when i had hyper-body glitched for me. o.o

Also, I found stronghold too hard for me, LHC was fine, some bosses was fine, even czak, when i had HB though, not after they patched glitching those skills.
Wow, really?

I am 177 on my marksman and it has around 13k HP. I have a decent character card set, though.
i have 12k hp. i couldnt train at sh even with autopot cause i died and lost 10% more than i could gain 10%. and you have to waste 15 seconds + 5 seconds in dojo using the 10k hp buff and 100% recover hp since you cant survive past the tot bull without using them.
I'm 154 with 13k hp, what are you doing wrong

*Unfunded Marksman here*
I have 18.5k HP, I can tank a hit or two at bosses. Still sitting at level 99 willpower due to laziness. |D

If you're at a boss that seds + does 1/1, always have EP out before possible chances of getting inflicted; you'll increase your chances of survival.

EDIT: Finally got to level 100 willpower; I'll tell you that it took me almost a year to get the remaining 5 levels due to me being lazy with PQing. Other than that, it would've taken me less than a year to get to 100. With that, I actually have 18.7k HP now, yay.

Also, my HP is without Decent HB (nor do I even have it). No dom pendant either; only a CHTP if you count that as a funded equip. All other % HP equips are affordable (E.g. Rex earrings + Czak).
