@Staarbucks: Yep, I've applied for it, open application, got assigned to Girton college which is one of the lesser known ones in comparison to Kings or Trinity so hopefully my chances will be better Also applied for Kings College London, Imperial College London and Birmingham for my other 3 choices (only 4 applications for medicine). My back-up 5th option is Biomedical Sciences at Imperial. Let's see how it all pans out, hopefully I can secure one place out of the 4 medical choices. If you need any advice for AS/A2 chemistry, feel free to PM me
@Staarbucks: Yeah LOL I had to do Maths offline xD
Ummm... Getting into University in New Zealand is easy as hell rofl. You can completely screw up and get into Uni. I got all 90+ for AS so I had enough UCAS points for any university subject in 6th form. But I skipped year 3 so I didn't want to go to uni at 16, so I messed around a year in form 7.
I just to 1 offline lol, do you think that your AS mark helped you get into university? Or did they focus on A2 or overall A level?
I know it's not me you quoted, but Cambridge look at AS module marks heavily so I guess having 98% average across my 4 AS levels will help me a fair bit (though their average medical student has a 94.5% average). It depends on the university in reality; different unis have different criteria.
@wanted123456 Oh haha, I did ncea lvl 3 english and maths in form 5 and got excellence endorsement for both! Im doing 5 AS subjects and 3 schol this year (form 6). Did you do the AS chem practical exam?
I don't think he'd be New Zealand because I live in New Zealand and I study at Grafton Medical school and that's not how medicine applications are done.
