Game crashing at loading mushy screen w/o an error message

I've been able to fix the incompatibility problem and my antivirus blocking the game, however I don't seem to find a way around this. Google brings no answers either.
Does anyone know how to get past the loading screen?

Thanks in advance
@errorNo311: dude i am serious though you really don't have to pay for antivirus for your computer the reason i recommended MSE is because there was once this antivirus program that everyone bought and it turned out to be a virus it self just so they could make money and have them buy the better version. Anyway MSE should be better but thats my opinion
I get what you're saying! BitDefender came already with my PC, but in my old laptop I used to have Avast! free version and I played for years on with that without a single problem. I already deleted BitDefender and intalled Avast! free, but I'm still having that problem. I'm thinking of re-formatting my pc in the near future and hope it works ._.
Most likely not a Firewall issue, don't worry. Sometimes a simple computer restart can fix the issue, try that?
I've already tried restarting and re-instaling the game. I was hoping the new patch would get it fixed but apparently it didn't
get a different antivirus i recommend Microsoft Security Essentials its free and easy to use. I use it regularly and it works fine even with maplestory
I also thought my AV was the problem but I recall being able to play the game about a year ago on this same pc without any trouble. As soon as this license expires I'll switch to Avast

I've only experienced this problem once recently, and that was the last time I tried to play Maple on my laptop.
Is your Firewall blocking MapleStory?
I thought that was a possibility. I tried to run the game with my av turned off but that didn't seem to help either. Maybe I didn't do it right
what antivirus program are you using?
I'm using BitDefender.

I tried adding the game client to the whitelist and setting the antivirus to "Game mode" but that didn't seem to help
