As a 4th job aran, you could put 1 sp on combo tempest at lvl 121. But here are a few reasons why it might be troublesome: 1). Combo tempest (along with combo smash and combo peril) will get super degraded when GMS will have the bing bang patch that they had on KMST 2). As this guide said, combo peril can pretty much 1 hit ko ur mobs. But also, when u use tempest, the monsters will be frozen and u hav to hit it again b4 they defreeze. (It's annoying now that gallos r occupied by dbs everywhere and ksing u, u'll kill too slow when u use tempest) 3). If you're poor, I would recommend not buying it so early. ppl right now sell it for like 50+ mil around, and I would rather buy final blow 1st (which i did), cuz its reach is very long and more useful than tempest in almost all circumstances. In final words, I would like to say very great guide. iguy, ur guide helped me a lot. I've pretty much followed this and got to where i am today.
realy nice guide, starting aran right now and its nice to have a good guide at hand.. but I have a small thing that i dissagree on.. with the release of the Dual blade job, i don't think aran is the strongest non-range job anymore.. but thats just 1 pro point less.
Now i would like to add one, since aran is by far the best class to use in the Nett's Piramid PQ..
I think you should stick with either low or regular dex. For a poorly funded person. I put my money in the bank and tried to play as a starter. It seems, I couldn't hit most monsters. I needed a little more DEX. I'm a level 22 right now, no DEX, DEX WG, and DEX sauna robe. I can't hit most monsters I'm required to hit. So I recommend at least adding some DEX to at least 30-40. I have 16 right now and can barely hit Dark Axe Stumps. I get a few misses. But, if you guys want to prove me wrong, go ahead. I'm open for suggestions. I just started my Aran and not really sure what I'm going up against.
