^What is Xenon?
Xenon is the first hybrid class Nexon has released. It will be released in GMS on 7/3/13. By hybrid class, I mean that for the first time in history of MS, we have a class that is not only a Thief but also a Pirate. This also means that it will be able to wear both equipment categories. He is an android class who features using a Whip Blade as a weapon (Although, it appears more as a whip then a sword). With an arsenal of different abilities and skills Xenon ventures into the Maple World for you to play as you wish. This guide will give you all info that is required, if you require information on something not listed here, leave a comment and I will address your question soon as possible.

Overview
CLASS: Resistance (special)
EQUIPMENT TYPE: Thief / Pirate
MAIN WEAPON: Whip Blade
SUB EQUIP: Controller
ATTACK DISTANCE: Melee
MOBILITY: High
HP: Low
MP: Low
PRIMARY STAT: (STR) - needed for damage & stance. (DEX) - needed for damage & status resist. (LUK) - needed for damage & avoid

^I. Xenon Basics

As a child, you see Xenon playing with the future Resistance instructors. Gelimer kidnaps him and experiments on him for many years, turning him into an android. Moving forward into present time, Xenon is fully completed and under the control of Gelimer with no memory of his past self.
The Resistance instructors along, with Claudine, break into Gelimer's lab after receiving information from Orca who was betrayed by Gelimer. Xenon was sent to stop them but after seeing Claudine he begins to remember his past and decides to join them. As they tried to escape Beryl, another one of Gelimer's androids tries to stop them. However, the rest of the resistance appear and they manage to escape. You will then start your adventure in Edelstein at level 10.

Xenon Tutorial video

When creating Xenon, you can choose between Suu type (for males) and Orca type (for females). You can also choose to put Generate Marks on your character.

Xenon is a Thief/Pirate hybrid class who uses STR, DEX, and LUK as his primary stat. He has no secondary stat at all and benefits out of the three equally. 5 STR will give you the same boost in range as 5 DEX would. In each job advance they also receive Multi-Lateral skill which will give these 3 stats the following benefits:
STR: Stance
DEX: Status Resist
LUK: Avoidability
When all three stats have been raised to a required amount you will also be given % Damage. This skill upgrades in each job advance, with it's final upgrade being at lv 200.

STR 20: Stance 5%

^Did you know?
Submitted by SniperofLove:
Did you know that if you swap the X with the N it says Nexon instead of Xenon?

Submitted by 0DeathTheKid:
Xenon is also a chemical element from the Periodic Table of Elements - it is a noble gas, and can be used in lights. This is why Nexon made Xenon be blue and electric-looking for his design.

Taken from the Maplestory Wikia:
Xenon is the first class to be a hybrid of two class families.

Taken from the Maplestory Wikia:
Xenon is the first class to have three main stats.

Taken from the Maplestory Wikia:
Xenon is the seventh class to have voice acting for his skills, the first being Luminous, followed by Hayato, Kaiser, Kanna, Angelic Buster, and Demon Avenger.

Miscellaneous Stuff

Xenon's weapon is the Whip Blade. Classified as a 1-Handed weapon.

Xenon's secondary weapon is the Controller.
Like the Nova classes Xenon has an Emblem slot in his Equipment
Since Xenon is an android, he has his own heart slot, allowing him to equip 2 hearts (1 for him, 1 for a Female/Male android)
Has no limitation between wearing thief or pirate gear. You can freely mix and match any.

Modal Shift Skill System

Many of Xenon's skills are considered "Modal Shift" skills. Using the beginner skill "Modal Shift Linker" you can choose one out of three modes for these skills to use. Basically it's three different attacks in one skill. To use it the beginner skill "Modal Shift" then pick a direction key (<, ^, > ) and it will switch all Modal Shift skills to that setting.

Surplus Energy Supply System

One other important thing is Xenon's Surplus Supply system. This will appear as a gauge on your screen, similar to Luminous' Dark/Light gauge. For every job advance you will have up to 5 Surplus Supply. (1st job: 5, 2nd job: 10, 3rd job: 15, 4th job: 20)
For each Surplus Energy stored you will gain 1% all stats

30: +3 Pinpoint Salvo (4)

End Result
Everything maxed.

Explanation
First few points are used to max Multilateral, one point in Beam Spline (your attack skill), and then we max Propulsion Burst. Propulsion Burst is just like other jobs jump skills which allows you to do an extra jump in the air. Radial Nerve increases your speed and jump and helps increase the range of travel you'll get with Propulsion Burst. Circuit Surge gives you +30 W.Atk because Xenon are given overpowered first job buffs like that. It also passively gives you +10 all stats which is also nice. Circuit Surge is then maxed. If you weren't already one-hitting whatever you were training on you should be now. Rest of the points are put into LulPinpoint Salvo Design. It's a pretty useless skill so don't worry about it too much.

Results
Everything maxed.

Explanation
First job is about mobility, the fast ability to be able to move fast and get to the mobs is vital, and besides, who doesn't like fast moves? And to support that, we max Radical Nerve straight away to raise out Speed by 20 and Jump by 10. After maxing the mobility skills we continue on by maxing our first attacking skill Beam Spline, and then we follow it on by our attack buff Circuit Surge. And to finish off the Job, we put the rest of the SP into Pin Point Rocket.

End result
Everything maxed except Ion Thrust at lv 14

Explanation: First goal is to get a min lasting Booster. To do this you'll need lv 5 Mastery. Lv 3 Booster will give you a 72 second duration. After that Mastery is maxed out which will stabilize your damage. 5 points into Structural Integrity will give you +10 All Stats. Perspective Shift is then maxed to give you a nice boost of Crit rate as well as +20 All Stats. Efficiency Streamline will increase your HP and MP by 30% while also passively increasing your HP by 1000. This helps with your survivability and is a great skill overall. Ion Thrust is then maxed. This is a great attacking skill for flat maps. Quicksilver is then maxed to finish up your attack skills. The rest of your points are used to max Booster and Pinpoint Salvo Redesign A.

60: +3 Pinpoint Salvo (4)

Results
Everything maxed except Ion Thrust 14

Explanation
First up, put points in all skills, just so you have access to all skills to try out all the skills! We put points into Structural Integrity to get that nice passive +10 all stat, max that at Level 5, and we continue to max Mastery for stabilize your attack and also increase the attack by 20 and booster to add a boost to your attacking speed. Another nice skill we max is Perspective Shift, gives us increase of 40% chance of crit chance and gives a good passive +20 all stats. After maxing out our supports and boosts we continue to out attacking skills which is Quicksliver Sword and this is real fun, because of the Modal Shift, have fun with your arrow keys

A lot of people have been saying Xenon has small HP, but in my case I found it to be seem kind of decent or semi decent in HP wise, I chose to max the Efficiency Streamline here is because I really don't think we need a boost of HP and MP till later on when we go bossing or train harder mobs like LKC or HOH. Now we leave Ion Thrust at 14 because I reckon this skill is not as useful as Quicksilver, sure it is a great skill, mobs and you can ride on it and use it for 8 seconds, but I think the movement is slow. I prefer fast kill, fast gain. And as the same as First Job build we max Pin Point Rocket at the end.

End Result
Everything maxed except Gravity Pillar at lv 14.

Explanation: Starting out with one point in all of your main skills will allow you to start getting a grasp of the job adv. Emergency Resupply is first maxed because it recharges your supply system + only requires 5 SP to do so. Manifest Projector is the same as Shadow Partner on regular thief classes it doubles all your attacks with a bit less dmg. It's the best source of dmg increase out of all your 3rd job skills. Hybrid Defenses is maxed because it passively gives all stats + gives you 100% avoid rate for a bit of time lowering your pot usage dramatically. Combat Switching is maxed since it is your main attacking skill for now and is followed up by Aegis System. Aegis System is similar to final attack where it'll automatically attack the enemies around you by shooting out 3 missiles at them. Diagonal Chase is then maxed. It does damage monsters however it is most of a mobility skill then an attacking skill. Pinpoint Salvo Redesign B is maxed to increase your damage even more. Triangulation is then maxed. This skill has little use in 3rd job however it helps in end-game bossing situations and in high level training locations. Rest of the points are just tossed into Gravity Pillar which is more of a 'fun' skill... Has no real uses.

Results
Everything skill except Gravity Pillar is left at 14

explanation
First skill we max is Visual Projection, this skill is like Shadow Partner, mimics your skills and deals damage to your opponent, great skill to have, and then we follow on by Emergency Resupply to recharge our Surplus Supply instantly by 10, handy skill. We continue on to max the skill Hybrid Defenses, giving us some avoidability reducing the damage intake, also a nice passive from this is +30 all stat. Afterwards we max Aegis System following on Combat Switching, our attacking skill for 3rd Job, This skill is a Modal Shift skill which does give you options of styles of attacks, but I would mostly spam the Shoot Down mode. Continue on the flow of maxing Triangle formation and max Diagonal Chase, this skill can move you up a platform when training could be useful in occasions. I left Gravity Pillar at 14, it's not the best best skill, but links alright with Diagonal Chase. And in the final end max Pin Point Rocket.

End Result: Everything maxed.

Explanation: Start 4th job out by placing 1 point in all of your main skills. This both speeds up the early levels and lets you start getting a hang of your new skills. As with most jobs your passive mastery skill is the first to be maxed because it stabilizes your damage. Xenon Expert both will raise your min range leaving only a 30% gap between your max/min as well as give you 30 W.Atk and 15% min crit dmg. After that Purge Lob is maxed out. Some people will ask why Purge Lob is maxed over Beam Dance and the answer is simple. As of GMS Unleashed patch most of our party play zones are gone. LHC is now a solo training map as well as most other maps in the game. You should be able to one hit literally everything you train on up till lv 160. Purge Lob is a better choice if you're one hitting everything anyway. After that you'll want the rest of your buffs. OOParts Code is first because it increases your damage output by a whole 50%. Offensive Matrix follows because it gives you stance and with a 90% avoid cap and you having relatively low avoid to begin with at this level range stance will be good. The avoid problem then gets helped thanks to Instant Shock. If you fail to avoid an attack, this skill will give you a 40% chance avoid it anyway. Next up is where it depends on what you want to do. You can either max Beam Dance allowing you to train at Stronghold easily right at 160/165 or you can choose to max Hologram Projection which will give you an extra 10% HP which will help you and others survive at Stronghold. Personally I won't tell you which is better because it depends on your funding / what you care more about. Also, for those who want to start bossing around 160ish you might want to max Beam Dance right now instead of Hologram. The rest of your SP is pooled into Maple Warrior and your remaining Pinpoint Salvo Perfect Design.

Results
Everything is maxed.

Explanation
After putting points into the skills for attacks and buffs, start maxing Xenon Expert straight away to get a increase on weapon attack and to add extra 15% minimum crit rate, and follow on to maxing out attacking skill. You have a choice of either Blade dance or Mecha Purge, now from here on really depends on what you prefer, the reason why there are points in most of the skill is that, I like giving people to try out the skills in the beginning to suit the needs of their training method. Either one being maxed is okay, you get to max the skill you didn't max later on.

We follow on after attack skill to maxing out Offensive Matrix for stance and PDR 30%. Follow it on with Ooparts Code for a nice buff to damage and boss damage, but for training purposes we max it for the passive effect +40 all stat. Continued on to max the attack skill you previously did not choose earlier, and then Instant shock to give another chance to miss from attacks from monsters. Getting near to maxing all skills, max out Hologram Field and then Pin Point Rocket Perfect Design for last support for the skill. After wards free SP, put it on MW I guess, or if you got Hero's Will max that afterwards.

^VIII. Equipping your Xenon

This section of The Complete Xenon guide is to help low/medium funded players with equipping your Xenon character. This is in no way intended as end-game as end-gear is constantly changing and supply vrs demand in each world is always different
The pricing in this guide is for Bera, however most equips I list will be ones easily accessible for free / little money.

First let's go over Xenon's Hot Time items.
These include~
Helm: Xenon Cap: +12 to all stats, 200 HP and MP, 50 defense and magic defense, 10 slots, if you are a 3rd or 4th job Xenon you get an extra 5% critical chance, 3 to all stats, and 6 attack) Epic on reveal
Android: Berylroid (permanent)
Heart: Beryl Heart (Permanent)
Weapon: Le Died (level 80 Whip Blade) Epic on reveal

Getting 23~38% Stat Equips

Crafting
For starters I'd like to bring up how amazing Ardentmill is and what a great addition it is to Maplestory since it came out. Allowing Epic tier % equips without the need of cubes is great for new players that don't have much funds.
To do this you will require a few million mesos, if you're brand new and don't have a few million mesos I'd suggest looking up meso gaining guides and tips on Youtube.
Your main focus here would be on Lv 40 equips as they are the easiest and cheapest to forge.
Typically you should be able to land an Epic tier equip every 20~30 crafts or so, I know it sounds like a lot but believe me it's not as bad as it sounds.
You have a good chance of landing 4% stat on any of the lv 40 items you craft so this is an easy way to gain 30~40% stat.
Crafting will cover the following equip categories: Helm, top, bottom, shoes, gloves, weapon, earrings, and belt.

What stats to hold onto on lv 40 equips
2% All Stats: Your best choice. If this is an equip you're going to have awhile then nothing will be better then 2% All Stats.
4% Luk with 2% Str or Dex: Although rare sometimes you do land this. I'd settle for this if you can't get All Stat%.
4% Luk: Since Luk is your main priority on stat obviously it's the best single stat% to get.

Monster Park
Monster Park is special in the sense that any item you pick up automatically has potential.
When it comes to 70+ equips this is far more easier then crafting and yields nice exp too. Simply pick up any thief/pirate gear that drops and reveal it. If you have multiple pieces you can also fuze them together in Ardentmill for a chance to land 6% Stat or 3~6% All Stat. You could easily get 15~30% here.
Monster Park will cover the following equip categories: top, bottom, shoes, gloves, and helms

Evolution Lab
Since Hyper Evolution we've had the Evolution Lab. On top of being one of the best 100+ training spots it's also a nice way of landing equips.
From the Core shop you'll need the following cores:
Monster Population 30% (97,280 Mesos)
Rare Equipment Drop (512,000 Mesos)
Armor Drop - Lv. 100 Thief (256,000 Mesos)

Rare Equipment Drop will 'cause any equip you pick up to have potential.
You might also want a Big Spider Familiar to increase the drop rate.
After you go in just simply go to Link 3 and kill anything that moves.

This method is basically the same as Monster Park but allows you to be more specific on the equips that drop.
Same as Monster Park this covers the equip categories: top, bottom, shoes, gloves, and helms.

In the end
Through these 3 methods you should be able to obtain at least between 23~38% Stat anywhere upwards to 50%.
These 3 allow a cheap and fast method of starting out.

WIP. more updates to this section will come soon.

^IX. Where to Train?
Dated: Thursday, June 20th for GMS Unleashed
Green highlighted mobs are most recommended

^X. Frequently Asked Questions
Would 9% LUK get divided to 3% STR, 3% DEX, 3% LUK?
No. 9% luk is 9% luk.
Only way you can raise all 3 individual stats is through +All Stats on equipment, or All Stat% potential.

Is Xenon a thief or a pirate?
It is both. Xenon is capable of wearing any Thief or Pirate equips.

Which is stronger? Beam Dance or Purge Lob Masquerade - Snipe?
Beam Dance is stronger when it comes down to doing dmg over time.

However, it's largely by preference. even in KMS there are some very high ranged Xenon's using Purge Lob over Beam Dance.

Purge Lob is also better on certain bosses such as Vellum and Vonbon who are limited to when you can hit them.

^XII. Future Xenon Nerfs / Changes
In a recent KMST patch Xenon's were hit with their expected nerf. The changes are as followed but keep in mind GMS doesn't always follow through with all of KMS's changes so Xenon might not get the same nerf.
