^Introduction
Hello Basilers and Maplers! This is puretppc making a Dual Blade guide for people. I created this as of July 3, 2012. This guide was stickied as of November 12, 2012!

This guide is mostly done so please keep checking in daily or weekly for updates. Please leave honest feedback to this guide.

I'm in the middle of working with Tofu Tags so please wait while things need to be done properly.

^What is a Dual Blade?
A Dual Blade abbreviation (DB) is a Maplestory job that is in the Thief Explorer/Adventurer class. Its main stat is LUK and secondary stat is DEX and STR. This is a limited class meaning that it will only be available for creation once in a while or during events.

^Pros and Cons about Dual Blades

^Pros:
Good Damage
Good Mobbing all the way across
Good at Bossing at high levels
Few nice buffs to increase your range
fairly easy to level in general
Extremely high chance to avoid mob attacks!
Can be played with low funds

^Cons:
Have low hp (this is for the lower class DBs usually, not so affected by higher class)
Low Weapon/Magic defense (may not matter because of extremely high avoid)
Prejudice hate in general for many reasons such as "bandwagoning", KSing, etc << usually one of the biggest cons for a DB

^Common FAQ
Q: Do Dual Blades require tons of funding?
A: Not really however funding does help you indeed pretty well for end game Equips. I will talk more on that later on if I update this.

Q: When do Dual Blades become available again?
A: It is currently available due to the release of Hyper Skills.

Q: When will the Dual Blade revamp come to GMS?
A: It came to GMS on August the 8th 2012, known as the Mutiny Patch.

Q: Does having a high ATT Dagger matter over having a high ATT Katara?
A: Whether you have a 100 ATT Dagger + 50 ATT Katara or 50 ATT Dagger + 100 ATT Katara they're both give equal damage as long as you sum them up together. More on that after I release the damage calculator for it.

Q: Are Dual Blades the weakest or strongest class?
A: I cannot answer about their power. Just play this if you find it fun okay?

Q: I have low HP and I keep dying or getting close to dying. How do I solve that?
A: Many ways such as Enveloping Darkness, Cannoneer link skill etc. Chaos Horntail Necklace and Dominator Pendants can solve this as well since both give 10% HP/MP each. Character Card effect system helps too. Check the Tips/Tricks section for more info. Also, Hyper Skills can increase HP by 15%.

Q: What's the difference between Evasion, Dodge and Avoidability?
A: Avoid and evasion are the same thing. Your avoid stat then applied to a formula along with the monsters hit/accuracy will discern your chances of the attack missing. Dodge Chance, an individual stat, as it is a % chance after the primary calculations therefore it is equation for you to avoid the attack anyways.

70% dodge chance from other skills
25% dodge comes from Mirror Target

So here's the dodge chance breakdown:

Side step: 15%
Shadow Meld: 30%
Mirrored Target: 25%

Dual Wield Expert boosts gives +15% avoid not the dodge chance.

Credits to lulzace for pointing that out.

Q: Can Dual Blades share Cash Shop with another Dual Blade or an Explorer?
A: Unfortunately, no Dual Blades cannot share Cash Shop with another Dual Blade in the same account or an Explorer.

Fatal Blow
this attack is slow and it only covers a short range

^Dual Blade 2.5 (level 45-60) - Second Job - Blade Specialist

Flying Assaulter
while you're in the air, you attack mobs diagonally down towards a certain distance
you must be in the air at a certain elevation in order to use this skill or it will say "You're not high enough to use this skill"
the stun effect does NOT work on boss monsters (ie Zakum arms/body, Von Leon, etc.) or any mini bosses (LHC/LKC monsters, SH monsters, etc). However it works at PvP.
Max level: 20, MP Cost: 44, Damage: 165%, Number of attacks: 4, Mobs: 8, Stun Chance: 20%, Duration: 6 seconds

Upper Stab
attacks enemies then knocks them in the air
while enemies are in the air you do extra damage if you attack them
the effect that knocks enemies in the air does NOT work on boss monsters (ie Zakum arms/body, Von Leon, etc.) or any mini bosses (LHC/LKC monsters, SH monsters, etc)
Max level: 10, MP Cost: 45, Damage: 300%, Number of attacks: 1, Mobs: 8, Bonus Damage for airborne enemies: 80%

Flashbang
throws a bomb and hits multiple enemies in the area as it explodes
after it explodes, there is an x% chance of them getting Darkness, which lowers their accuracy for x seconds
the effect will work on bosses however the duration is lower by half

^Dual Blade 3 (Level 60-100) - Third Job - Blade Lord

Bloody Storm
same animation as Slash Storm
Max level: 20, MP Cost: 50, Damage: 265%, Number of attacks: 3, Passive: +20% Damage for Flying Assaulter and Tornado Spin

Mirror Image
pretty much the same thing as
Copies your previous hits and hitting exactly an x% (70% at max level)
If one of your normal attacks are critical, Mirror Image will copy that critical attack as well and do x% of that damage
Hits done by this skill cannot exceed 699,999 or 700,629 due to damage cap which is 999,999
Max level: 20, MP Cost: 67, Damage of attacks: 70%, Duration: 200 seconds

Shadow Meld
see FAQ section for dodge rate
each time you successfully dodge an attack you get a buff, which gives ATT and 100% Critical rate
since at max level it is 7 second duration with a 5 second cooldown, the buff will basically last 7 seconds but can only be activated every 5 seconds, which means a 2 second longer buff.
Max level: 20, Dodge Chance: +30%, Buff after a successful dodge: +15 ATT and 100% Critical Rate, Duration: 7 seconds, Cooldown: 5 seconds

Credits to Armags for mentioning this. I tested it myself and it was true.

Enveloping Darkness
Abnormal resistance % is the rate when bosses or monsters try to inflict you an abnormal status (ie. Seal, Curse, etc)
Elemental resistance is the amount of % damage reduced from monster's magic Elemental attack
Max level: 10, Max HP: +20%, Abnormal Status Resistance: +30%, Elemental Resistance: +30%

Life Drain
the way it triggers is that for every monster it hits a trigger chance will occur
Example: You hit 8 enemies with Blade Fury and have Life Drain at max level; you get 10%*8 chance to heal upon attacking.
Example: 10k Max HP, You hit 100k. Therefore, you heal 2k HP.
Max level: 5, Chance to recover HP when attacking: 10%, HP recovered: 10%, Max HP restore: 20% of your max HP

Chains of Hell
Drags and 1 enemy towards you then attacks it 10 times with 100% Critcal Rate
Also has some iFrames (invincibility frames to prevent you from being hit)
also may stun an enemy for x seconds (does NOT work on bosses) however works at PvP
Maximum number of attacks this can do is 15 (if included with Mirror Image)
Damage reflect cannot work on this, which means it's useful for timing a boss damage reflect
Max level: 20, MP Cost: 75, Damage: 105%, Number of attacks: 10, Mobs: 1, Stun rate: 10%, Duration: 4 seconds

Advanced Dark Sight
If you get hit by a monster Dark Sight may automatically activate
Also makes your attacks do extra damage while in Dark Sight mode
It can be deactivated by using any Attacking Skill or buff skill
Also has the chance to remain in Dark Sight after using an attacking skill or buff skill, which is pretty helpful for increasing Damage
Max level: 5, Chance to trigger: 20%, Chance to maintain Dark Sight: 49%, Extra damage in Dark Sight: +20%

^Dual Blade 4 (Level 100-200) - Fourth Job - Blade Master

Blade Fury
Stands still and attacks enemies within the range a decent range (both left and right)
Also ignores their Weapon Defense (PDR) which means their PD rate gets reduced by x%
[b] Max level: 30, MP Cost: 65, Damage: 165%, Number of attacks: 4, Mobs: 8, PDR when using this skill: 20%

Phantom Blow
Ignores their Weapon Defense (PDR) which means their PD rate gets reduced by x%
Max level: 30, MP Cost: 42, Damage: 200%, Number of attacks: 6, Mobs: 1, PDR when using this skill: 30%

Sharpness
Minimum Critical damage is the lowest critical multiplier increase with critical
A base critical is 120% ~ 150% [random integer from 120%-150% is generated]
therefore with minimum critical increase, you get [120%+x%] as your new critical minimum
Max level: 10, Critical Rate: +25%, Minimum Critical Damage: +25%

Thorns
Max level: 30, MP Cost: 90, Weapon Attack: +30, Knockback Resistance: 90%, Duration: 210 seconds

Mirrored Target
Summons a dummy that looks like yourself with some HP that can take the damage for you instead of you taking damage
Mirror Image needs to be active and it will get rid of Mirror Image upon activation but you can recast it to get both of them
Also another Passive effect reduces the monster damage that hits you
Max level: 30, Passive effect: Damage from enemies -20%, Dodge Chance: +25%, Weapon/Magic Defense: +60%, Buff effect: MP Cost: 135, Dummy HP: 12,000 Duration: 90 seconds

Toxic Venom
advanced version of Venom
the stack effect lets you poison a monster/boss multiple times with more lines of poison damage
Max level: 10, Chance to apply Venom: 50%, Venom damage: 160%, Can be stacked 3 times

Dual Wield Expert
advanced version of Katara Mastery
Max level: 30, Mastery: +70%, Weapon attack: +30, Accuracy/Avoid: +15%

Final Cut
passive effect may instant kill monsters. Note: It does NOT work on bosses or any party-play monsters like LHC, SH, etc.
hold down the key to charge up (see the meter on the top of your head) and when reaches max, let go of the key
after you have let go of the key, you will rush about half-way across the map and knockback 8 enemies to squish them together with a very high amount of damage
then you will get the buff owl on the top of your head, which gives extra damage %
monsters that Dispel you will not affect this
Buff duration & cooldown reduce effects will work for this
There are some ways to get this buff with no cooldown. I will test it then show you later.
Max level: 30, Active effect: MP Cost: 400, HP Cost: 10%, Damage: 2000%, Number of attacks: 1, Mobs: 8, Supportive effect: Damage increase buff: +60%, Duration: 60 seconds, Cooldown: 90 seconds, Instant kill chance: 15%

Maple Warrior
increases Base Main Stat by an x% for the party [see damage calculation for details]
Tip: If you have a party, it is best to have the party member cast the HIGHEST MW level
Note: MW 20 and 30 are the most expensive Mastery Books
Max level: 30, MP Cost: 70, Main Stat% increase: 15%, Duration: 900 seconds

Hero's Will
Cures ALL abnormal status (including Seduce or Seal but excluding Stun)
Skill Book is required which can be obtained in a Questline
NOTE: You will need a few Mini Pianus which are dropped by Pianus.
They spawn like every 24 hours so GL hunting!
Tip: Those Pieces of Courage drop at very low drop rate (I get like 5-7 per run clean) so please use 2x Drops when you go in!
Max level: 5, MP Cost: 30, Cooldown: 360 seconds

Sudden Raid
Attacks the map (called AoE attack)
this attack is slow and requires cooldown
Also inflicts DoT (Damage over time) which could stack with Poison damage
DoT just like Poison is based on your damage range multiplied by the %
Max level: 30, MP Cost: 290, Damage: 1150%, Number of attacks: 1, Mobs: 15, Damage over time duration: 10 seconds, DoT %: 210%, Cooldown: 30 seconds

^SP Build
This is SP build is for after the Tempest patch. If you need the Renegades or Mutiny build please post here or PM me for it.

Please try not to buy the Cash Shop books since you don't need +1 SP each time you use them and they're not worth the cost. You also get free Mastery books that are required for 3rd job and under + Blade Fury and Thorns for 4th job.

Monster Bomb Mastery Books can be traded in via Maple Admin for a Dual Wield Expert.

* = a skill from previous job(s)

^Dual Blade 1 (level 10-20) - First Job - Rogue
Mastery Books required:
none

Level 10: Bandit Slash (1)
Level 11: Flash Jump (3)
Level 12: Flash Jump (5) MAX, Save SP (1)
Level 13: Save SP (4)
Level 14: Save SP (7)
Level 15: Save SP (10)
Level 16: Save SP (13)
Level 17: Save SP (16)
Level 18: Save SP (19)
Level 19: Save SP (22)
Level 20: Save SP (25)

End Result:
Bandit Slash 1/10
Flash Jump 5/5 (MAX)
Side Step 0/10
Dark Sight 0/10

Reason for this build:
Start off with 1 Bandit Slash for early main attacking skill. Then max Flash Jump for movement skill. You don't really need other skills so I would suggest in saving up a ton of SP for your next job advancement so that you can max important skills.

^Dual Blade 1.5 (level 20-30) - Post Advancement to early Dual Blade - Blade Recruit
Mastery Books required:
none

Level 20: Katara Mastery (10) MAX, Self Haste (10) MAX, Tornado Spin (9) [saved SP from previous job, +4 SP via Job advancement]
Level 21: Tornado Spin (12)
Level 22: Tornado Spin (15) MAX
Level 23: Side Step (3)
Level 24: Side Step (6)
Level 25: Side Step (9)
Level 26: Side Step (10) MAX, *Dark Sight (2)
Level 27: *Dark Sight (5)
Level 28: *Dark Sight (8)
Level 29: *Dark Sight (10) MAX, *Bandit Slash (2)
Level 30: *Bandit Slash (5)

End Result:
Katara Mastery 10/10 (MAX)
Self Haste 10/10 (MAX)
Tornado Spin 15/15 (MAX)
*Side Step 10/10 (MAX)
*Dark Sight 10/10 (MAX)
*Bandit Slash 5/10

Reason for this build:
Using a ton of saved SP from your previous job it helps a lot when it comes to maxing important skills such as Katara Mastery and Self Haste which are both amazing for training and stabilizing damage. You should then try to max Tornado Spin for the next few levels for best training results. Side Step and Dark Sight would be filler skills. Bandit Slash should keep at 5 before you advance to second job.

^Dual Blade 2 (Level 30-55) - Second Job - Blade Acolyte
Mastery Books required:
Slash Storm 20

Level 30: Slash Storm (1), Physical Training (3)
Level 31: Physical Training (5) MAX, Channel Karma (1)
Level 32: Channel Karma (4)
Level 33: Channel Karma (7)
Level 34: Channel Karma (10)
Level 35: Channel Karma (13)
Level 36: Channel Karma (16)
Level 37: Channel Karma (19)
Level 38: Channel Karma (20) MAX, Slash Storm (2)
Level 39: Slash Storm (5)
Level 40: Slash Storm (8)
Level 41: Slash Storm (11)
Level 42: Slash Storm (14)
Level 43: Slash Storm (17)
Level 44: Slash Storm (20) MAX
Level 45: Katara Booster (3)

End Result:
Slash Storm 20/20 (MAX)
Physical Training 5/5 (MAX)
Channel Karma 20/20 (MAX)
Katara Booster 3/10
Fatal Blow 0/10

Reason for this build:
Start off with 1 Slash Storm since that will be your new attacking skill. Then max Physical Training and Channel Karma for good damage. Slash Storm can be maxed next for mobbing ability. Katara Booster for attack speed should be added to finish this SP build. You would only have room to add in 3 points however. Job advancement is level 45 instead of 55.

^Dual Blade 2.5 (Level 55-70) - Mid-Second Job - Blade Specialist
Mastery Books required:
Flying Assaulter 20

Level 45: Flying Assaulter (1), Upper Stab (1), Venom (1), *Katara Booster (4)
Level 46: *Katara Booster (7)
Level 47: *Katara Booster (10) MAX
Level 48: Flying Assaulter (4)
Level 49: Flying Assaulter (7)
Level 50: Flying Assaulter (10)
Level 51: Flying Assaulter (13)
Level 52: Flying Assaulter (16)
Level 53: Flying Assaulter (19)
Level 54: Flying Assaulter (20) MAX, Upper Stab (3)
Level 55: Upper Stab (6)
Level 56: Upper Stab (9)
Level 57: Upper Stab (10) MAX, Venom (3)
Level 58: Venom (6)
Level 59: Venom (9)
Level 60: Venom (12)

End Result:
*Katara Booster 10/10 (MAX)
Flying Assaulter 20/20 (MAX)
Upper Stab 10/10 (MAX)
Venom 12/20
Flashbang 0/5

Reason for this build:
We will get at least 4 SP for this job advancement. First, add in 1 point to each Flying Assaulter, Upper Stab and Venom. Then max Katara Booster. Max Flying Assaulter for good mobility mobbing. Upper Stab is good for a non-rush attacking skill. Then put Venom at 15 to end this build and advance to 3rd job which is now 60 instead of 70.

^Dual Blade 3 (Level 70-120) - Third Job - Blade Lord
Mastery books required:

Shadow Meld 20

Level 97: Chains of Hell (20) MAX, *Bandit Slash (6)
Level 98: *Bandit Slash (9)
Level 99: *Bandit Slash (10) MAX, *Fatal Blow (2)

End Result:

Enveloping Darkness 10/10 (MAX)
Life Drain 5/5 (MAX)
*Venom 20/20 (MAX)
*Flashbang 5/5 (MAX)
Advanced Dark Sight 5/5 (MAX)
Chains of Hell 20/20 (MAX)
*Bandit Slash 10/10 (MAX)
*Fatal Blow 5/10

Reason for this build:
Start by adding only 1 Bloody Storm so you can not only get extra damage for Flying Assaulter + Tornado Spin but also get an upgraded skill from Slash Storm. It also helps you unlock FABSUS & FATSUS combo. Then add in 1 point for Shadow Meld since you get more Dodge rate + 100% Critical, some Weapon ATT if successful dodge. Max Mirror Image next for very good DPS buff of 70% of doubled attacks (which is just like Shadow Partner). Then max Shadow Meld for the dodge rate and Weapon ATT. Enveloping Darkness and Life Drain should be maxed next for better survival skills since it increases your HP and can do the healing. Advanced Dark Sight should go next since you can trigger the chance of increasing damage after you get hit. Flashbang maxes next for making enemies (especially bosses) lose their accuracy giving you a better chance to dodge attacks. Finally, max Chains of Hell and put the rest of the points on other skills from previous job. Get ready for 4th job, which is level 100 instead of 120!

Credits to toad and BlazingF1st for pointing this SP out.

^Dual Blade 4 (level 120-200) - Fourth Job - Blade Master
Mastery Books required:
Dual Wield Expert 30 [semi-expensive]
Thorns 30 [quite cheap]
Blade Fury 30 [quite cheap]
Mirrored Target 30 [cheap but hard to find a seller]
Maple Warrior 20 [very expensive!]
Maple Warrior 30 [very expensive!]
Sudden Raid 20 [may not need]
Sudden Raid 30 [may not need]

NOTE: Dual Blade Skills only require a Mastery Book for level 30 rather than most job whom require for level 20 as well. However, this doesn't apply to Maple Warrior

Skill Books required:
Phantom Blow
Final Cut
- both of them drop from Zakum, Chaos Zakum, Hilla and Root Abyss with Chaos Zakum being the highest drop rate
Firm Hand (for Hero's Will and requires a questline, which would cost a Mini Pianus)

Level 100: Blade Fury (1), Phantom Blow (1), Dual Wield Expert (1), Toxic Venom (1)
Level 101: Mirrored Target (1), Sharpness (2)

Reason for this build:
Now that you've advanced to 4th job you should add points on your four important skills you get. Blade Fury is excellent for non-rush mobbing. Phantom Blow is used for 1v1 combat or bossing. Put 1 point on Dual Wield Expert which gives you 5% more Mastery and 1 attack in addition to Katara Mastery. Toxic Venom is a huge upgrade from Venom because it stacks and it gives a better chance with more poison damage. Next level you should put Sharpness to increase critical rate and Mirror Target for defence and avoid.

Level 102: Sharpness (5)
Level 103: Sharpness (8)
Level 104: Sharpness (10) MAX, Dual Wield Expert (2)

Level 135: Toxic Venom (6)
Level 136: Toxic Venom (9)
Level 137: Toxic Venom (10) MAX, Blade Fury (3)

Reason for this build:
I would try to max Sharpness first since it gives a higher critical rate alongside better damage on critical attacks. Dual Wield Expert should go next because it can increase your Mastery by 20% more than Katara Expert and give an additional 30 Attack with some avoid. Thorns goes next because preventing from getting knocked back is really helpful when it comes to LKC/LHC mobs and you also get another 30 Attack boost. Final Cut give a whopping buff of +60% total damage on all your attacks! Finally add in Toxic Venom for the final touches of damage increasing skills. I added all these first because of a significant damage increase.

Level 138: Blade Fury (6)
Level 139: Blade Fury (9)

Level 153: Phantom Blow (22)
Level 154: Phantom Blow (25)
Level 155: Phantom Blow (28)
Level 156: Phantom Blow (30) MAX, Mirrored Target (2)

Reason for this build:
You should max Blade Fury first for mobbing or training at LKC maps.
Otherwise, put Phantom Blow before it if you want to keep on bossing at these levels.

Level 174: Maple Warrior (21)
Level 175: Maple Warrior (24)
Level 176: Maple Warrior (27)
Level 177: Maple Warrior (30) MAX

I prefer Mirrored Target first since the book is fairly cheap and you need the defence and avoid. Then Hero's Will next for getting rid of abnormal status. I also kept MW to higher levels due to Mastery Book costs of that.

Level 178: Sudden Raid (3)
Level 179: Sudden Raid (6)

Level 185: Sudden Raid (24)
Level 186: Sudden Raid (27)
Level 187: Sudden Raid (30) MAX
Level 188-200: No more SP build since you maxed almost every skill by now. You may add in some SP from your unmaxed skills in previous jobs.

^AP Build
The main stat of a Dual Blade is LUK and secondary stat is DEX and STR.
Please do not add STR or INT!

As of Tempest patch you don't need to add in any secondary stat.

Purely Dexless: Have a Base DEX of 4
most recommended REGARDLESS of funds
Honestly, this is the only build I would recommend for AP.
Tempest patch doesn't require any secondary stats at all to equip.

^Dual Blade Combos and Buff Sets
^Combos
These Dual Blade combos are helpful through training. They start at 3rd job. In order to activate and combine those moves in a combo, you cannot use the macro screen which is on the skills tab. You have to activate them by pressing the key 1 by 1. There is a slight delay of 1 second in between the combos activation.

FABSUS
Flying Assaulter + Bloody Storm + Upper Stab
You must jump first then use this combo
recommended for training at 3rd job of average HP monsters

FATSUS
Flying Assaulter + Tornado Spin + Upper Stab
You must jump first then use this combo
recommended for training at 3rd job with high hp monsters such as Jesters

FATSBF
Flying Assaulter + Tornado Spin + Blade Fury
Good at LHC maps since it's a good way of cornering them

US + BS
Upper Stab + Bloody Storm
Upper Stab knocks enemies in the air
Use Bloody Storm while they're in the air to hit them for an extra 70% Damage!
Does not work at LHC monsters sorry

US + JUMP + US
Upper Stab + JUMP + Upper Stab
Upper Stab to knock enemies in the air
Then Jump and Upper Stab them for extra damage
Good for training at regular monsters for damage
Does not work at LHC or bosses or party play zones

US + FABSUS/FATSUS
Upper Stab + JUMP + FABSUS/FATSUS
Upper Stab to knock enemies in the air then use FABSUS or FATSUS
FA will do more damage than usual due to the Upper Stab bonus
Good for training at regular monsters for damage and map rushing
Does not work at LHC or bosses or party play zones

FJ + FABSUS/FATSUS
Flash Jump + FABSUS/FATSUS
Flash Jump then use one of those combos
good for ToT maps since they are wide and have split platforms
may be a little hard to control since FJ can stay lower your elevation causing you to miss the timing with the FA key

US + FB
Upper Stab + Fatal Blow
Upper Stab to knock enemies in the air then use FB to hit one of those enemies for high damage
Not very useful unless it's for 1v1 combat towards regular monsters

^Buff Sets
The grouping a buff into a set is beneficial because you only need to press 1 hotkey to activate 3 buffs. This is also faster and more efficient than pressing more hotkeys.

How to create a Buff Set:
1. Select the buff skills you want in it.
2. Drag them to the Macro window (skills window button on the bottom right).
3. Press the save button.
4. Drag that hotkey of that set to any key you like.
5. When you tap the key all you need to do is wait until the whole set if finished

Tip: Try buffing at a Rope or Ladder since it buffs faster.

First Job
1) Self-Haste + Katara Booster

Second Job
1) Self-Hate + Channel Karma + Katara Booster

Third Job
1) Self-Haste + Katara Booster + Mirror Image
2) Channel Karma

Fourth Job
1) Thorns + Self-Haste + Katara Booster
2) Maple Warrior + Channel Kama + Mirror Image

^Keyboard Settings

This is my keyboard setting. I try to keep the attack keys together near the left side because you can do nice combos. D and F are really good for buff sets. Cooldown skills (ie. Final Cut) should go on the top right section. Potions should go on that side as well because it's close to your fingers.

NOTE: This is for a desktop. I will try to upload a laptop one.

^How to get Echo of Hero Skill
For those who are wondering how to get this Echo of Hero I will post the easy steps. This skill gives 4% Att and Magic Attack for everyone in the whole map, including red dots (non-party members). However, it lasts 40 minutes and has a cooldown of 2 hours.

1. You must reach level 200.
2. Go to Orbis Tower 8th Floor.
3. Talk to the NPC named "Statue" somewhere in the middle of that map.
4. Receive the quest.
5. The quest is automatically able to complete so talk to it again to complete.
6. You're done! Please check the Beginner Skills tab.

^How to get Vampire Skill
This skill is avialable for Dual Blades, however they cannot be

^How to calculate your Damage Range

General Formula

Max Range: 1.3*ATK*(4*LUK + DEX + STR)/100 [End result rounded off]
Min Range: (0.2+Mastery)*Max [End result rounded off]

Mastery should be as a decimal such as 0.5 if it's 50% Mastery.

Note: All values must be the very total amount (calculated after the %)

Calculating the total of a stat with %

For Stats: (Base + Bonus)*(1+ Stat%/100) [result rounded down]
For ATK: ATK*(1+ ATK%/100) [result rounded down]

Note: The Bonus is from what Equips/Set Effects/Skills give as a + NOT a %. The stat% is the sum of all stat% from everything (except Maple Warrior) not multiplies.

Maple Warrior calculation

NOTE: Maple Warrior only affects your Base LUK, which is the amount gained from AP.

Base LUK w/ MW: (1+MW%)*(BaseLUK) [result is rounded down]

Total LUK applied with MW: (1+Stat%)*(BaseLuk*(1+MW%)+LUK) [end result and total BaseLUK result are both rounded down]
The LUK means the amount of LUK gained from Equips/Skills/Effects, etc as a non-%

- A form for filling in all the stats from your Equips or bonuses
- A form for the stat or ATK %

^Extra Tips for Dual Blade
This section shows some tips on making a Dual Blade better and training faster. [Working in progress]

Improving Damage

NOTE: None of these skills can be copied (ie. owning 2 Cannoneers doesn't give double the bonus)

Cygnus Blessing, +1 ATK for every 5 levels of the highest Cygnus Knight (max is +24 ATK)
Cannoneer Link Skill, +5% HP, +15 Stats [obtained by leveling Cannoneer to 70]
Phantom Instinct, +10% Critical Rate [obtained by leveling Phantom to 70]
Fury Unleashed, +10% Boss Damage [obtained by leveling a Demonslayer to 70]

Getting extra EXP

Elven Blessing Teleport to Elluel at 30 minute cooldown [obtained by leveling Mercedes to 70]
use Pendant of Spirit if there are events that give one AND you're low funded w/o a Mark of Naricain
train with Holy Symbol (a skill owned by a Priest/Bishop and Phantom); gives 50% more EXP at max level
follow the training guide mainly

Getting a higher HP

Character Card System; Having 3 Level 30 or 70 Characters in one or two decks can give like 1k more HP, even better boost with level 120 characters
Popular Pendant Choices; MoN: +300 HP, CHTP +10% HP, Dominator Pendant +10% HP
Enveloping Darkness: +20% HP
Czak +10% HP [more and more people are beating it easily]
Raven Horn/Empress Set: +15% HP
try keeping some HP % potentials if you obtain one from a cube.

^ Bossing Guide
This is a small guide for bossing that shows the damage range recommendations for fighting them and the strategy.

Mini/Minor Bosses

Depending on which job tier you are you use their bossing (1v1) skills
4th job: use Phantom Blow
3rd job: use Chains of Hell
2nd job: use Fatal Blow or (Upper Stab)
1st job: use Bandit Slash
Recommended Damage range: It doesn't matter,
Recommended Potions: All Cure Potions (if they inflict abnormal status), any Potion for your level

Pianus Left or Right

Requirements: none
Recommended damage range: 5k range
Other Recommendations: level 110+, 5k+ HP, some PDR, small Boss damage % (optional), level 1 Phantom Blow or maxed CoH
Recommended Potions: All Cure Potions, % Potions (ie. Ginger Ales, Elixirs, Power Elixirs, etc)
Boss HP: 30mil
Boss attacks: Shoots a Laser, Drops boxes
Boss effects: 1/1, Seal, Cancel Weapon/Magic Attack, Dispel
Average damage taken: ~1.5k for Physical, ~1.8k for Magic
Strategy: Straightforward spamming an attack

Papalatus

Requirements: Prequests complete, level 120, 1 Piece of Cracked Dimension will be consumed each fight and can fight this up to twice a day. Daily pieces are obtained from Mr Buffon.
Expedition: No party requirements at all. You can only solo.
Recommended Damage range: 5k
Recommended Potions: Potions that heal 4k+ HP
Boss HP: 23mil (clock), 1.59mil (Papalatus)
Boss attacks: lightning strike, Rest (prevents itself from being attacked)
Boss effects: 1/1, summon bomb, Dispel, Stun
Average damage taken: Clock: Phyisical: ~2.4k, Magic: ~1.7k, Papalatus: Physical ~2.6k
Strategy: Fairly straightforward use your bossing skill then after you kill the clock, Papulatus spawns.
Video

Zakum

Requirements: All 3 Prequests completed, level 50, 1 Eye of Fire per Zakum fight, can only fight this or Chaos Zakum twice a day
Expedition: You create a Zakum Expedition and go in. You can only enter the altar to fight it at channels 4,5,6 and 7.
Recommended damage range: 15k
Other Recommendations: level 120+, 6k+ HP, some PDR, small Boss damage % (optional), level 1 Phantom Blow + level 1 Blade Fury or maxed CoH [if you don't have the Phantom Blow skill unlocked]
Recommended Potions: All Cure Potions, % Potions (ie. Ginger Ales, Elixirs, Power Elixirs, etc)
Boss HP: Arms (x8): 22-33mil each, Zakum Bodies: 66mil, 88mil, 110mil
Boss attacks: Arms: Absorbs HP/MP, Ice/Lightning attacks, Fire/Poison Attacks, Heals HP every 30 seconds, Def/M.Def power up, Bodies: Lightning, Fire pillars drop, Summons multiply minions that fly
Boss effects: Arms: Seal, Darkness, Bodies: 1/1, Seal, Stun, Cancel Weapon/Magic Attack
Average damage taken: Arms: Physical/Magic: under 1.8k, Bodies: Physical: 4k-6k, Magic: under 2k
Strategy: Stand in the middle of Zakum and use Blade Fury until all Arms are dead, then use Phantom Blow (or CoH if you don't have the PB unlocked) on the all 3 bodies part (stand within a distance of it in order to prevent Physical damage).
Video

Chaos Zakum

Requirements: Same as Zakum but you have to be at least level 100 to fight this.
Expedition: This may require 5 Chaos Zakum expedition mules/fillers (level 100+). Channel 11 and it is NOT instanced so you may have to wait
Recommended Range: 30k only
Other Recommendations: level 150+, 10k+ HP, some PDR, small Boss damage (optional), level 10- max Phantom Blow, Max Final Cut, Max Blade Fury, not getting hit at all is most helpful
Recommended Potions: All Cure Potions, % Potions (ie. Ginger Ales, Elixirs, Power Elixirs, etc), Hero's Will maxed
Boss HP/effects/damage: Seduce, 1/1 from Zakum Bodies, Zakum bodies can do fairly high touch damage if you can't avoid.
Strategy: Same as Zakum but it's dangerous when it seduces you.
Video

Normal Hilla

Requirements: level 120 and some small prequests
Expedition: Can go in alone so just create on and go into ANY channel.
Recommended Range: 25k
Other Recommendations: level 140+, 7k+ HP, some PDR, small Boss damage (optional), level 10- max Phantom Blow, Max Final Cut, Max Blade Fury
Recommended Potions: All Cure Potions, % Potions

Von Leon

Requirements: Finished all prequests for LHC (Lion King Castle), level 110+
Expedition: Create an expedition and go in. As of Hyper Skills patch, any channel works.
Recommended Range: 30k, mainly about the strategy
Other recommendations: level 150+, 8k HP, some PDR and boss damage. Phantom Blow, Max Final Cut, Blade Fury, not getting hit at all is most helpful
Boss HP/effects/damage: damage reflect, summons mini Castle Golems and could heal himself so please kill them.
Strategy: Use Phantom Blow but use CoH when it does DR since it can negate that. Even if you die you can revive and continue the boss

Horntail

Requirements: Badge of Squad (requires HTPQ) Also, you MUST do the Prequest every time you want to enter the Cave of Life, which makes it hard for Manon Cry especially
Expedition: You may enter the expedition alone however, you need 6 fillers/mules (level 80+)
Recommended Range: 30k only
Other Recommendations: level 160+, 9k+ HP, some PDR, Boss damage % (optional), level 10- max Phantom Blow, Max Final Cut, Max Blade Fury, Hero's Will maxed (due to seduce)
Boss HP/effects/damage: Seduce, 1/1, weapon/magic attack cancel
Strategy: First you start off by killing the 2 pre-heads. Then you enter and see the whole Horntail.
Video

Chaos Horntail

Requirements: same as Horntail but you must be 110+
Expedition: Same as Horntail but the fillers/mules have to be 110+
Recommended Range: 40k
Other Recommendations: level 170+, 10k+ HP, 60+ PDR, Boss damage %, level 10- max Phantom Blow, Max Final Cut, Max Blade Fury, Hero's Will maxed (due to seduce)
Boss HP/effects/damage: Seduce, 1/1, frequent weapon/magic cancel especially at preheads

Pink Bean

Requirements: prequests and some sort of item that lets you get in. Level 140.
Expedition: requires 6 mules/fillers level 140+
Recommended Range: quite high since many people tend to solo this with the cap
Other Recommendations: level 190+, 10k+ HP, 60+ PDR, Boss damage %, max Phantom Blow, Max Final Cut, Max Blade Fury, Hero's Will maxed (due to seduce), Chains of Hell maxed, Vampire Maxed (recommended but can still be done without that)
Boss effects/HP/damage: Seduce, 1/1, Damage Reflect (hard to tell though)
Strategy: Stand at a certain place in this map to avoid the damage reflect
Video

Chaos Pink Bean

same concepts but higher HP

Cygnus Empress

Strategy: Watch out for Damage Reflect. Just try to spam Chains of Hell instead of Phantom Blow since you can never really tell when it does it. Mihile Instructor on it's 2nd summon will damage reflect. Target Mihile mainly during 2nd summon.
Recommended Range: very high

^Potion Guide
This is a Potion guide for Dual Blades. It shows the efficient potions to use based on your MAX HP or MP. There are alternate choices so I'll post them

< 800

Use basic potions such as Blue, Red, Orange, White, etc.
They drop from almost all low level mobs in multiples per kill at a VERY high rate

800~1500

Unagi, Pure Water, Mana Elixir are recommended since they heal at a fair rate based on your HP/MP
Drop rate for those are smaller than the basic potions but they're pretty cheap in mesos anyways.

1500~4667

NLC 1.5k Potions
These pots can be bought from a "Merchant" NPC at New Leaf City for only 1500 mesos
You can go to NLC anytime from the Multi-dimension portal located in EVERY town
Good 1:1 ratio in terms of heal:cost

Alternates:
2k Potions
Use these if you feel that those NLC 1.5k Pots are healing you too slowly

4k Potiions
Usually best to use them from 4k-4.6k

4667~99,999

NLC 60% Potions
These pots can be bought from a "Merchant" NPC at New Leaf City for only 2800 mesos
You can go to NLC anytime from the Multi-dimension portal located in EVERY town
4.6k+ is recommended to start these potions because the ratio for healing:cost ratio is greater than 1
More MAX HP/MP = more healing

Alternates:
Silent Crusade 6k Potions
You can get a ton of them from completing Silent Crusade quests
Recommender for 7k+ HP/MP

50% Elixirs
Usually obtained from most events
