Fashion Advice for Men

[header]Introduction and Survey Statistics[/header]
This is just the results of a massive survey. Whether or not you choose to follow it is your choice.

My class group conducted a study directed at women for their opinion on men's clothing and fashion. 27,000 female college students from:
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
the University of Virginia in Charlottesville
the University of Maryland College Park
the University of California At Los Angeles and Riverside
Pennsylvania State University at University Park
the University of Texas at Austin
and the University of Florida at Gainesville
completed a somewhat lengthy online survey regarding their preference in Men's Casual Wear.

In the survey, 29% of the participants were Freshman, 27% were Sophomores, 18% were Juniors, and 11% were Seniors or 5th year students.
The remaining 15% consisted of Graduate students.
14% of participants were sisters in a Sorority.
65% lived on campus.
31% were Asian, Indian, or Pacific Islander (large number probably due to the group being Asian and the survey spread throughout so many Asian communities)
54% were White or European
9% were African American
4% were Hispanic or Latino
2% were Other or Not Preferred to Share

21% are currently in a relationship
86% have been in at least one relationship
91% are straight
4% are bisexual
3% are lesbian
<1% are transgender
<1% prefer not to share

The survey was administered in a checkbox style format. Participants were asked to pick a minimum of one and a maximum of five choices out of a large list of clothing and fashion preferences. All participants remained anonymous and were asked the questions above (i.e. What year are you? What ethnicity are you? What is your sexuality?). All values rounded to the nearest percent. All values below 1% will be denoted as "<1%"

Below is the results of the survey, listed by percentage of people who checked each choice. All questions apply to Casual "every day" wear

[header]Conclusion[/header]
And there you have it, the results of the survey. Remember, whether or not you choose to agree with this is your choice, this is merely the results from 27,000 female college students from select colleges around the United States.

For fun, I'll take the highest scoring choices and combine them to create the "ultimate outfit for men."
V-neck T-shirt or Hoodie with zipper (or both!)
Dark colored Straight jeans
No headwear
Scarf
Luxury Watch
Contacts/no eyewear
Sneakers
Necklace
Ring if in a relationship, nothing if not
No piercings
No tattoos

But it expands so much further than that. Remember, girls were only able to choose five. In my opinion, this survey is less of what you should wear but more of what girls don't like seeing on a guy. Take the advice guys!

Again, don't flame me for this, it's just opinions.
I will not bother reading this whole chick advise ty.
My advise.
1) 6pack.
2) jeans.
3) shirt-optional [;
8 pack or go home.

OT: Keep in mind folks that most of the girls here were probably picturing an extremely hot and savvy guy while completing this survey ^^

Oh, that's a neat study. I dress in a lot of the top-scoring items, besides my round-ish glasses and piercings.

Guys might I remind you that this study is merely opinionated. I see many people calling it "generic" and "obvious," but that's in fact what it is; generic basically means commonly known... you should be able to understand that a study that surveys so many random people in college would be generic. It's like you're expecting the results to be unique or something, like everyone was unique. Then you wouldn't be the unique one anymore!

Anyways, as I stated at the end, this is less of advice for what you should wear and more of what most girls don't like seeing. As for chukkas, I think not enough people knew what chukkas were, or considered vans better. I'd put chukkas as my 4th choice, so it wouldn't make the list.

So girls don't like loose t shirts then? Well too bad for me then cause that's what I wear most of the time.

I find it surprising the survey people were more accepting of tattoos than piercings

Too shallow of a thread for me to take seriously... But I read it regardless and give a thumbs up for at least trying.

Funny when I wear 90% of the top favorited clothes and I get no chicks...

Maybe it's just me...

lol Gathering all people from other colleges just to survey what cloth women would like men to wear the most... Men should just be himself. I found this funny

so what we should learn from this is wear clothes that fit well, dressing to the most bland depths of casualwear is preferred, and the classic standard of button-ups, suit jackets, peacoats, and overcoats, is acceptable.
I mean no offense, but that's pretty much all this study confirms.
Man, but
