Sick and tired of peanut butter. You have to eat a cup's worth daily for 1500 calories, toast only gives you like 200.

I've heard that drinking lots of soup gives you a full feeling without your body actually being full. This allows you to eat less while still feeling like you ate. You should try it.

Since you're joining the track team, just do what the coach says cuz it's usually good. Just moving is already good but if you get directed activities its even better.
If your school doesn't have a weight room, you should try to get a gym membership nearby and go at least 2 times a week if possible.

dieting is not necessarily eating less. dieting for nutritional purposes is making the best of everything you eat; making sure you're meeting your daily intake of protein, carbs, fat, and all that fun stuff

learn how to run (seriously, you can hurt yourself bad if you don't know how to properly) and buy new shoes every 4-6 months so you don't get shin splints

Definitely not, I'm 5'10 @ 125 pounds. Metabolism really kills any weight I gain, and it takes an IMMENSE amount of effort to actually eat 4000 healthy calories a day. I used to do track everyday, and it actually helped to tone down my body fat (believe it or not) even though it was already well under 18%. You see faster results when you lift, so that's a plus to running.

Ever see the Machinist with Christian Bale? He was 6'0 and 120 pounds.

Gaining muscle and loosing weight doesn't really sound right. Just try to gain muscle.

when you're running maintain your breathing, breath in through your nose, breath out

dont heavy breath because it'll mess up, when your competing
o and eat a snack after practice, like a bannana, granola bar, fruit snack, anything with healthy snacks
