@ineedhelpplz I believe it was a rib
I wasn't aware that my computer and all my electronics were powered by fire, I personally thought it was electrons passing through logic gates and such.
It is completely possible to generate electricity without fire as well. (Hydro-electric dams, nuclear generators, wind powered come to the top of my head right now).
edit: I Guess making the alloys and that would obviously be a lot more difficult without the control of fire, but still possible.
I think he meant that the invention of fire allowed us to learn more about elements and materials around us (like through alchemy and chemistry) which eventually lead to the us creating power.
gangnam style
@zoneflare2: -gasp- rude!
But no, since people have selected on a dog's traits since who knows how long, why not?
dogs
I guess.
The transistor. Electronics can't live without it.
inB4Firearms!
paper by the CHINESE!
The greatest thing man has ever created would be... his own downfall! haha!
The print press.

The reason why I said this is that it would be basically impossible to make the materials (which you already said), and for lights, the passage of the electrons through the filament that gives off light is very closely related to fire, and without the discovery of fire, I doubt that lights or anything would ever exist. Also, for nuclear generators, it uses heat to convert water into steam, and if we didn't know about fire and how to control it, we wouldn't really be able to prevent the generators from going up in flame.
The idea of a God is the worst
Agriculture, because it was the invention that started it all. Without agriculture, all other inventions would not have been possible, because everyone would be to busy hunting and gathering.
i would honestly prefer that. hunting my own food, no fear of nukes, and no need for gun control only arrow control. why can't we go back to before times?
What is God's greatest invention?
@Phong128992 Man didn't invent ideas. It was an innate trait of mankind. It defined mankind, and was a the product of over four billion years of evolution of life on Earth.
Children.
Man's greatest inventions are ideas. Without ideas there would be no inventions. Without ideas there would be no thought and no free will.
Agriculture, because it was the invention that started it all. Without agriculture, all other inventions would not have been possible, because everyone would be to busy hunting and gathering.
Asians... Duh, With out asians, there would be no Maplestory, or any awesome game. And with out the Chinese people, Earth would probably blow up, because everybody except Chinese people are not as smart. Hahaha And that was a perfect example of ethnocentrism. ^-^

Man inventing man? crazy
I agree with the person that said fire, because without it, we wouldn't have been able to make anything that gives off light (other than stuff that glows), like computers, which are needed to access the internet.
@above Well we learned more about it and how to create it ourselves and in doing so, "tamed" it to a degree.
