The Laws of Basilmarket Forums made up

I think I've been on Basil since 2010 (maybe even 2009)..so after the 100s (maybe even 1000s) of threads I've read and or posted in, here's what I've observed in regards to Basilmarket forums. Remember people who read this, THIS IS ALL MADE UP! Make of it what you will.

0) ALL threads which involve posts longer than 1 paragraph, will be subject to posters who reply TLDR (too long; didn't read).
1) ALL Religion threads will start flame wars, often between 3 parties and sometimes up to 4. 2 parties will be for and against the religion focused on in the thread respectively, while the third party will be comprised of people who want the thread locked and or deleted, with a goal of having religion threads banned on Basil. The occasional fourth party will be comprised of "nice people" who wish to settle the flamers, but often their attempts are unsuccessful.
-Most often than not, the religion debated will be Christianity, and the 2 parties flaming at each other will generally be comprised of Christians (usually excluding Catholics) and Atheists.
2) In ALL threads relating to which country are you from, Canadians will always comprise of the majority of posters.
-Exceptions are threads where only people from specific countries/regions are invited to post, however a Canadian will nearly always infiltrate the thread and post.
3) ALL nostalgia threads relating to "old Maple", "pre-Big Bang", "Explorers/Adventurers" only", "pre-potential" will ALWAYS have someone saying something along the lines of "I remember when we didn't have these threads" and OR "Get used to it or quit."
-There will ALWAYS be people who say they hated the "old days".
-There will also be people who will reminisce about the "old days", and defend the "old days" to the very end. Usually such defence includes the mention of a "better community".
4) ALL petition type threads will instantly be flamed against. There will ALWAYS be at least one poster who says something along the lines of "Petitions won't accomplish anything, it's pointless."
-However despite that, there will generally be a minimum of 10-15 people who "join" the petition.
5) League of Legends (LoL) threads will always have the most posters compared to threads about other MOBA or Dota-style games.
6) MapleStory 2 is a myth. If it is mentioned, the idea of it will generally be flamed. Those who post "evidence" of it will be ridiculed, with flamers saying that it's not strong enough evidence.
7) Nexon is a company most Basilers love to hate, regardless of what they do for the game, be it patches, bug fixes or events. They are often the target of sarcasm. -This also extends outside Basilmarket.
-If there is something that Nexon does right, there will still be complaints about the other things they haven't addressed.
8) Mainstream genres of music are considered bad, but usually mainstream pop and K-pop are the main ones.
-Such music/"crap" is often posted in an effort to troll, usually in threads about music.
9) Mainstream anime is considered bad and or overrated.
-Despite this, there will often be threads about those animes (such as plot elements, characters) with a decent amount of posts.
10) The majority of threads will have a trolling post, ridiculing post and or a sidetracked post.
-If the trolling/ridiculing/sidetracked post is considered funny, appealing or interesting, it will be imitated to some degree leading to a chain posting.
-If the trolling was done through thread titles, it will be imitated to some degree in numerous other thread titles.
11) Nearly ALL threads which are not related to MapleStory that ask questions, either in the thread title or in the opening post will ALWAYS have at least one person who says something along the lines of "Just Google it/Why don't you Google it?".
-However, if the question is related to MapleStory and especially when its concerning recent MS patches/events, there will ALWAYS be at least one person who states something along the lines of "Go to the MapleStory website/Doesn't anyone check the MS website these days?"
12) Most if not all Basilers are immature, childish and or annoying.
-This is despite the fact that there are occasionally threads asking people to state their age, which always have replies that state they are over the age of 18.
-This is also despite the fact that a certain number of Basilers post replies using Standard English and with a degree of seriousness.
13) In ALL threads where males are asked to keep out/only females are invited to reply, the majority of posters will be male/those with male Maple avatars.
i miss that guy.

what happened to him?
I heard he randomly reappears, posts a few things incognito, and people don't even realize it's him until he's already gone.

Law #7 extends beyond Basilmarket because no sane and educated person can possibly like Nexon (unless they're Kevin O'Leary).

... sorry, it's been a while since I applied law #7, and I couldn't resist.

well, this is better (read: not obnoxious) like Caretaker's old rules
though he was trolling anyway

i laughed when u started at 0
but srsly those points are all true
EDIT: theres also always gonna be ppl who just create a new thread without look at the old ones (p/c's are a exception cuz the price of stuff always changes)
-ppl will also always comment with "this thread has already been posted a million times just search it up" instead of helping out the ts since the dmg has been done.
