It isn't dying. Sure, the twitch stream views for SC2 are usually lower than LoL, but that doesn't say much about the gameplay, or the fact that the new expansion is coming out in march. Be prepared to have Heart of The Swarm skyrocket in viewers on twitch. Also, I'm glad SC2 might have slightly "less" players because that just roots out all of the noobs, which is more fun for the actual skilled players.

Get to grandmasters in SC2 instead.
It'll be a long road ahead of you, but I guarentee it's better than playing LoL.
