To a Ff3 players, I need advice

Title, I know that Final Fantasy III isn't a very popular game. BUT Im still gonna ask
I need some advice on my party build after Earth Crystal part.
At the moment, im stuck on these 2 choices
1) Dragoon - Black Belt - Devout - Ninja
2) Dragoon - Dark Knight - Devout - Ninja

Which one of those should I pick? or any other advice are welcomed

Dragoon is a terrible choice unless you managed to steal Gungnir from Odin and got Magic Lance for job level 99. Still, holding 2 of the heaviest weapons in the game is a slight inconvenience and may make your turn slower than the enemies', especially when fighting dragons.

Dark Knight loses to Knight greatly in terms of HP and damage. Dark Knight also can't use Excalibur, which makes you unable to use the Excalibur/Ragnarok combo unless you can do better with Ultima Weapon/Ragnarok. The only advatage Dark Knight has over Knight is slightly higher agility, which is more or less irrelevant when comparing the other base stats. Souleater falls off lategame and dividing enemies really aren't a problem.

Black Belt should only be used to HP wash your characters if you plan to grind to max level.

Ninjas are overpowered if you have enough Gil for shurikens, which you should have if you are doing the right thing by farming dragons in the ? cave or the endgame zone Crystal Tower.

Devouts are good healers unless you have Onion Knights. Job level 99 reward is decent - basically a free single target Curaja.

Attack magic in general sucks in FF3, but if you have enough elixirs from hunting dragons to let you spam Bahamut, then go ahead with Summoner. Plus the reward for job level 99 is actually good - a nice set of bracers that resists all elements.

I just realized that you were talking about 3 and not 13. Lol though, I used the action replay to use onion knight.

@NotMyGear: devouts are pretty versatile and hence are good assets to your party
but for me, black belts/monk hit 9999 quite early, also warrior and ninja at later job levels, so i couldnt be bothered to change
still trying to find my ds, lost it somewhere

ive only played the ds version, but for me, luneth = warrior, arc = ninja, refia = sage, ingus = black belt
tried different job combinations, but i settled with that^ when their jobs were all level 99

I stopped playing final fantasy when 11 came out. Played everything before that. New ones don't appeal to me.

you can buy some summons in shops, other than
Catastro is from Odin
Bahamur is from bahamut
Leviathan is from Leviathan.

THose boss are tricky to kill

summoners seems somewhat weak if you don't have those high spells

You're gonna need two healers.
