Training Guide for the Unfunded Player

Hello everyone. This is a training guide for the UNFUNDED PLAYER . Obviously this will take more time then the Guide for the Funded Player, but nonetheless will have the same results.

[header] The First Job: Levels 1-30 [/header]

Levels 1-10 Fairly obvious.

Levels 11-20 Blue Ribbon Pigs. You will FLY through these levels. 20-30 minutes TOPS

Levels 21-30 Mixed Golem Dungeon. This is very fast. 40 minutes TOPS

1 hour-1 hour 10 minutes since character creation

[header] The Second Job: Levels 31-70 [/header]

Levels 31-40 Mushroom Kingdom Questline, Mushroom Kingdom Pepes. By Pepes, I mean the Helmet and Spear BTW. This should be somewhat fast, taking 1 hour max .

Levels 41-50 Kerning Square Questline, the VIP Zone. Do NOT finish the Spirit of Rock quest UNTIL you have gotten to level 50. The monsters there give excellent EXP. 2 hour max .

Levels 51-60 Poison Poopas in Aqua Road. Even though these monsters are high-leveled, these monsters are in the ocean, so mobility to dodge is easier. Also, this location is not crowded AT ALL, so you can train here. 2-2.5 hours tops .

Levels 61-70 Sand Rats in Ariant-Road to Magatia. These monsters may be high-leveled, but so many people are at Jesters so that you are able to train here with almost no interference. 2 hours tops .

Level 70 in 7 hours-7 hours 30 minutes since character creation.

[header] The Third Job: Levels 71-120 [/header]

Levels 71-80 Jesters in New Leaf City. Even these monsters are VERY CROWDED, some people fortunately have a heart and will invite you into their party. This takes about 10 min/level Levels 71-75, but starts to slow down, becoming about 20-30 min/level Levels 76-80. 1 hour-1.5 hours tops.

Levels 71-80 Mithril Mutaes.

Levels 81-90 Roids Mini-Dungeon in Magatia. These monsters are worse than Jesters GENERALLY, they have somewhat better spawn rate, and is not crowded AT ALL, because it's a mini-dungeon! 4-5 hours tops.

Levels 91-100 Mr. Anchors in Boat Quay Town-Ghost Ship. These monsters are EXCELLENT EXP, but not the best spawn rate. Not too crowded, as MP3 is MUCH more popular. 8 hours expected.

Levels 101-110 Captains Mini-Dungeon. These monsters are fast to train on for your level, but takes about 1 hour/level. I perrsonally did 2x+1.5x (HS)+80% (Welcome back ring)+1.3x (Legends Awards Coupon from Coin Shop). This gets this done in about 2 hours. Without this, about 10 hours expected.

Levels 111-120 LHC/Magatia PQ combo. Even though LHC is better, most people don't have a heart, and sometimes lie about being full. Magatia PQ is best for most unfunded players. 2 hours at LHC (straight); 8 hours at MPQ (straight); combo takes about 2.6 hours.

Level 120 in 32 hours-40 hours since character creation.

MORE TO COME!

I see that you added the 70-120 part.
Good job, although you should mention Iron Mutaes for 70-80.

These are the times it took me on my I/L during ascension, and my cannoneer/mercedes during legends (early 2nd job). I'm testing it on my soon-to-be Buccaneer, and I'm going to post the times. This is the estimate that I made, and this is about how long it took my friends and I.

This guide feels very similar to mine with the time since character creation
The question is: Why is this known as the unfunded player's guide? This is more or less the avoid-KSers guide.

A few months ago my friends wanted me to make an account in Bera. I made a completely new account, without a single meso of funding. My friends did not help me with funding either because I didn't add them until I was around level 60.

Basically what I did was:
1-10 Obvious
10-30 Edelstein, went up as I felt like it
30-50 Scarecrows; yes scarecrows at level 30 without any funding
50+ jesters.

Funded or not the training places remain essentially the same. By level 35 you should have already earned a few mil, from various quests. Subani's Legacy at 36 gives you a good 10mil right off the bat.
The potions it takes to get from 1 to 120 shouldn't cost more than 10mil unless you're crazy at burning potions and you use a ginger ale every time you get hit.
Fine guide for non-KSer, but scarecrows and jesters are not limited to the funded.

I'm also quite curious as to the actual times given in this thread. 6 hours to 6 hours 30 minutes with 1x exp is certainly do-able, but I'm on 3x exp until 50 and 4.5x exp until 110. With decent funding (evo ring 1, evo ring 2, 17atk wg, lv24 empress blessing, pirate blessing, elven blessing... I'm getting to level 30 in 30 minutes. Of course I do Edelstein and that might be a really bad choice.

But you're saying it takes 1 hour on pigs and golems. I know pigs and golems are good, but I'll have to confirm that.
You also say it takes 2 hours to get from 30 to 50. That sounds reasonable enough since that's basically 40 minutes on 3x. However... I take around 40 minutes on 3x. And I'm at Scarecrows and Jesters, and again, good funding for low levels.
Then, a total of 6 hours from 1 to 70. That's the same as 2 hours on 3x, and this isn't even counting 4.5x. I take around 3 to 4 hours from 1 to 70 and 3 to 4 hours from 71-110

Either I'm doing something INSANELY wrong or you're exaggerating far too much with your times. I've gone to scarecrows 30 minutes after cannoneer/mercedes/demon slayer release, and I've seen maybe one or two people. If pigs and golems were so incredible, I should be seeing all channels full by then. I'm also seeing MP3 completely empty in all channels 3 hours after cannoneer/merc/ds release. There's plenty of people on 3x exp. If these times were right there should have been at least half the maps full.

I suggest you go through the process again and make a guide as you train. Putting down exaggerated training times won't help with a guide. For my guide, it seems as though the times are exaggerated, but they really aren't.

I trained at CD's at level 30 to level 42 (took 1 hour)

Level 43-50 I'm at voodoo/hoodoo (4 spawn) (took 40-50 mins)

Level 51-57 at robos took one hour

Level 58-70 at jesters took 2 hours

35~ 4x just go to mannequins or Cds.

(I do this every time at those lvs, and i've never been funded.)

This could give a means of training to those who are either starting in a new server or beginning their Maple career for the first time... Nice guide I'll use this for my characters in Kradia (unfunded for now)

Thank you, this will help many players with a training guide. Also, I think you could add some alternatives for some maps so you have a more wide variety of options to train at. Also you should include what level the PQ's should be done at.

You can pretty much stay in Magatia till 100, where you then go to Cap mini-dungeon til 110, then to DGP. That what I did on my unfunded Evan

And always remember PQs, PQs are so good :0
