Range to use Se?

Hey Basil, by reading some other threads I've noticed that DH is better then SE when your range is low, and SE is better then DH when your range is a little higher, but I wonder what range you guys recomend to have if I wanna use SE?

Thanks

unless ur hitting maxes, not likely, what the fail to account in with the theory of se makes u throw more cards is that more att also adds 2 the dmg of the cards, it's more of a case by case basis, your main attack is probably mille right? probably due to nerf, but when adding up you already have 45% crit rate and since only one card is thrown each cycle (140ms 2 attacks) you have 90% chance which it gives a minor increase, roughly speaking it should give you whatever everyone else feels + depending on your mille lvl
i.e.with carte noire at lvl 20 and mille at lvl 10 you would feel 5% increase
with mille at lvl 30 is more of a 4% increase
as for what everyone else feels it's dependant on if you have any crit dmg increases, but if not, on a clean basis of a 4th job phantom, 45% crit rate and 120% crit dmg, using maths( i didn't show for cards cause it's much MUCH more complex) it should be with max se, (1+(65% x 50%))/ (1+( 45% x 20% )) which gives 1.21559.... which means a 21.6% increase so with mille at lvl 10 roughly a 27.6% and at lvl 30 is roughly a 26.4%, if it gives a boost more than either of those then it would be better, but occurs only for people with low dmg ranges, when your impec mem IV is at lower levels i.e 1-10, it's actually better to go with neither of them, adv bless wins in those levels and would recommend holding adv bless and SE as both boost your parties damage for bossing in groups so as to speak if your party contains one of these you would use the other, this would maximise your parties damage and your own as you would go w/ SE solo and in the event where there is an archer w/ SE you would switch to Adv bless
