Anyone in Culinary School?
I plan on being a Chef in the future and I'm planning on going straight to Culinary School after I graduate and I wanted to know what it's like and what should I expect. So for those of you who are in Culinary school what is it like? Is it hard work like college? Is it easy? Is there any paperwork and write ups? I'd appreciate the info

my friend took a culinary program; he told me on orientation day, they tested you on how much you know. He ended up accidentally cutting his finger/nail off.
I took a cooking course as part of my program for 3 weeks and I think its pretty awesome. Hard work but rewarding.
lol i took it before and we had a text book, like what mixes with what is good, rules of the kitchen

So you graduated? How many years did it take? 1? 3? 4?
I doubt you have to study your arse off like you do in a university, but you still need to study for your exam, which consists of written test and a practical. They are really hard with practical... really picky and fussy. Also, being a chef requires a lot of energy and stamina... heard it's a difficult job.
That really helps alot thanks for the info

I guess not alot of people go to cooking school
I wish. I like cooking new things all the time. It's not something my family would accept though So I went the generic comp science route in school
