I was kidding about Mami; that's what my friends say all the time. My favorite characters are definitely Homura and Kyouko, and not only because they're huge gays.

also, Episode 3's sudden twist was great, but the lead up to it wasn't paced properly. It just felt... unnatural; rushed. Probably because I'm a stickler for "walking slowly is preferred here."
I can't wait for Oriko scans just to see Homura and her delicious legs pining for Madoka and Mami and Kyouko being married with a kid.
... That's what I got from the cover page and the synopsis, anyways.
@Dauntaro: i didn't really mean blowing me away in character designs, i think i just reused that since you said it in the first place. i know the plot is far from developed now and the dark twists can only get more extreme, and i've been looking forward to the series since i first heard about it.
so i've got high hopes.

But really, I love the designs, and it really helps with the shock part. Though, it's lacking Ume-tentei's signature wideface.
EDIT: Plus Homura is the most unique Tall, Dark, and Bishoujo character ever.

Ah, you've never seen Hidamari Sketch, I take it. It really warms you up to the character designs.
Also, by blowing you away, I mean plotwise. omg, the final scene. For a week every time I thought about it I started crying hysterically. Now I'm drawing a (mediocre) doujin that puts a different spin on the final scene, just a little.
@Dauntaro: as far as details go, i really like the sketchy looking 'eyelashes' and pupils, but none of them have blown me away yet. Mami is pretty good though.
it's just hard when i'm watching Ano Hana at the same time and their designs are amazing when the character are still pretty plain/realistic.

Oh btw, once it gets to the 9th episode, you will be so blown away, man. Especially if you're invested in the little sumpin sumpin between girls.
