y2k was just a problem with computer date coding...essentially, it read everything as the last two digits of the year, so it would read 1999 as 1999, but 2000 and 1900 and so on...
that being said, nothing, i will do nothing special, except maybe laugh the next day at the people who were wrong about the end of the world (because 2012 holds the signifigance of your kitchen calender ending, as in, none)
