New to archers. Bm or Mm?
as the title says, Im fairly new to archers, never played them except or merc. I really want to play an archer cuz now they just look so damn fine! but I was wondering which one I should play.. Marksman, or Bow master?
they both look awesome, but 1 thing im leaving towards bow masters for is the fact that the bows just look that muich cooler than cross bows.
although, I do enjoy having the ability to do great mobbing dmg to monsters in mobs. but I also like some 1v1 skills.
I hear that bow masters get extremely boring due to the fact that in 4th job they primarily just spam hurricane? (true or not? idk)
and if you could give me pros and cons for each class itself and as to why you enjoy one more than the other, that would be very helpful!

MM for Mobbing

Firestone160: As tempting as that sounds! I cant get to 120 that easily. lol. Cuz like i previously said im one of those guys that tends to give up on chars easily.. But I would love to train both BM and MM. but I just cant and I just love fast attacking long ranged classes.

Archers stayed archer. sadly they didn't turn into super archer and use 1 handed mae
with 20m and 40%dex you'll get 20k range

I'd recommend watching some youtube video's of marksmen and Bowmasters, or even 2nd and 3rd job video's. Then try to find out which you prefer. We don't know what you like, and we ain't going to play your character. You'll have to find out yourself, and make your own decision.
Or of course, do it my way: Train 2 archers, one to BM and one to MM .
@WizTasticxxD: Well fun varies from person to person and both classes to a certain extent meet what you are looking for after the hyper update.

to make a class for funding? no thats not why im here. im here to find out which archer class I would like to play, and have more fun on. but both of them look really fun! just hard to choose.
Im usually one of those guys that gives up on char easily.. highest i have is currently my 145 I/L then my 133 Evan. and I really wanted to try out an archer class.
and honestly I dont care about funding. I jus thave found some good archer equips i wanna use

..Some classes benefit more from less funds then other classes. 20mil isn't much, so at least in 1v1, in the a MM would outdamage a BM with the same equips. However, BMs have the potential to outdamage MM in 1v1, the more you fund it. Again, I personally don't recommend making a class for this reason.

I like that marksmen use a combination of strafe and snipe every 5 secs during bosses. As easy as MapleStory is, having two skills to boss with makes things a little more interesting.

so with around 20mill and a few decent scrolled archer equips Bow master would be better? plus my guildies are always there to help me out with equips.
Should've posted this in the archer section 'cause you're going to get bias'd answers as well as many that are completely wrong in facts.

After the hyper update BMs will be the best Archer mobbers on mobs of 2-4 and the second best on mobs of 5-6.
In terms of 1v1, depends on your thoughts for funding. With funds thier the second best and without funds they are the third best.

I have also heard that BM are BORING during 4th job. Wouldn't say MM are much more exciting, charge skills are never fun imo.
At least MM character card has more use. So I'd go for MM. Also, having a decent mobbing skill is better than having nothing.
I like MM better.
