How do you sooth your mosquito bites?

Obviously scratching them is a bad thing, so how do you alleviate the pain? My wrist area was bitten, and right now, it's itchy, throbbing, and it's swollen to half my forearm and it kind of wraps around my arm a bit. I'm using Afterbite at the moment.

But whatever. I just don't see why people prefer asking basil than looking up credible sources, which would actually take less time too
i agree.
basil has a lot of trolls anyway, it'd take longer for the question to be answered.

there's 3 options:

your spit (it has stuff in it that cuts up the proteine)

Heat
or Cold (proteine can be destroyed by either)

I just recently saw this on TV where they had a documentary about summer insects (mosquitos, hornets, ...)

I just leave it there since I don't have any medical stuff besides band-aids. Try putting ice on it?
This is actually kind of similar to what I do; I get a knife/sharp object and kind of cut the bite a little bit so that it hurts and I won't want to scratch it

To ts: Man your wrist must be tiny
I measured my for arm (Lol) And it's about 11/11.5 inches. The swelling length was about 6.5 inches.
that sounds like either an infection or an allergic reaction, but stop scratching if you haven't already, and try using an anti-itch cream, or wash it off with soap and water and wrap it to discourage you from scratching it. it will go away, eventually.
Yea I think I'm allergic to the "protein" or whatever they inject. I've noticed that whenever I get bitten, I swell like a motha trucka

I scratch it until my skin is raw and bleeding, then it doesn't hurt anymore

Not trying to be rude, but this is one of many questions I see in chat that can be googled (let alone just asking your parent)
Ice, aloe, and ointment help.

Applying ice on the affected area, or ointment (depending on what kind) reduce itching, and aloe.. my dad always told me to use it. *shrugs*

use alcohol pad on area of bite
then rub pad on a needle
heat the needle enough
stab the bite through the dome because they're annoying..but i do that if they're on an annoying spot & they get all red and puffy
